What is your greatest hubpages deficiency?

What do you think is your weakest aspect of being a hubber, that you definitely need to work on the most. (Please be honest with yourself, and with us all, so being courageous while answering this question is encouraged)

I need to spend more time editing my hubs before publishing them and I don't find the time to write as often as I'd like to.

Titles.  I just don't have the creative title gene.  I don't like the majority of my titles.  Another weakness is that I tend to look at other hubs and if they have a ton of text that is not broken up into subtitles or short paragraphs, I tend to move on.  Sorry, but it's true. And last, I think, is that I get impatient after I think I have finished writing and I am a little too eager to publish without letting the dust settle and really reading my hub with a critical eye.

Being a "hubber" encompasses more than just writing here. It also includes being active in the community. I wish I was better at community activities. I wish I had more time to hop hubs, answer questions, and read more hubs from fellow hubbers. My deficiency is that I don't spend enough time interacting with the hub community.

Hi Eric, I think I may be able to help you. In case you are not comfortable with including capsules and managing them, what i suggest is go to a few hubs, most read are preferable, look at their capsule arrangement and choose one formation to follow.

My weakness is that I am not tech-savvy. I'm rather dense when it comes to computer/internet/blog lingo. It's literally a different language to me. I know enough to get by and usually figure things out in time. But my lack of knowledge and know-how prevents me from optimizing my hubber potential. I think I could do a lot better if I could understand and apply what most hubbers under 25 consider basic. For example, I signed up for google1, have an account, but can't figure out how to set it up and use it to increase my traffic. Sigh, soon come.

Oh, I hear you on this one, janshares. I set up my Google+ account, but for the life of me I can't figure out what to do next. It's just sitting there... open and idle, waiting for me to do something with it.

I could should try to improve everything.  Vocabulary, be more organized so people well understand better want I am trying to write, find more spectacular subjects to write about and do marketing.  I also could improve on some of my images they mean a lot.

My hubs are short, they do not explain things very well.  Other people's hubs are a lot longer and more in depth.  I also don't know how to use the gadgets, or put my hubs on places other people will read them.

Not writing fast enough. I put so much time into a hub I often don't get to other important things I need to do. I am a habitual researcher, so I really can't help myself, nor should I because the quality of what I write would suffer.

I haven't figured out the back links yet and I'm still not using the key words correctly, even though I have read many many good articles on how to do both! I also need to set aside more time to actually do some writing. My goal is to do 1 a week, but lately its been more like 1 every two weeks....

Backlinks happen automatically, so don't worry about them, the search engines do it for us all, as well as if you type words relating to your hub or article in any other online portals, also whenever you post a link anywhere else online to your hub.

Really? I thought you had to actually stick a link somewhere in your hub or another online forum in order to take you to them in another area..but I guess that wouldn't mean "back" link, that would just be a link...Ugh, I still have lots to learn!

Creating hubpages backlinks are actually ju internal links to other hubs, which I'm sure you've already done using the linking tool. Here's a cool hub tutorial from the HP learning center. hub http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/a-gu … acklinking

Keeping up with comments. I used to reply/acknowledge comments in approx 24hours but now I can't keep up anymore and I feel awful when I haven't responded to a comment in over 5 days. This is also partly because once I reply to a comment, I always visit the Hubbers Hubs in return and make a comment.....so it takes me ages. That's why my score has dropped to 93, 92.  It used to be constantly high before.

Issue with me is, I am full of ideas. If I take out my brain and starting spreading it on paper, I am sure, there will be a million books that can be published. The only problem is I often get messed up between 2 or more article at the same time and end up writing none. However I often write down as much as I can and, until I am satisfied, I leave the rest for the next best time.

Example about my confusion while writing this answer: I started thinking about courage and what it is and at the same time how beautiful the landscape is and how would you put it in words. And yes what is the person thinking and his mental condition from his body language. Strange but its me since my childhood!!! smile

I need to be motivated to write more hubs. I started out strong, but after almost a year here my enthusiasm is flagging. I have plenty of ideas, I just need to sit down and to it.

I've had great difficulties figuring out all the methods to community interactions on Hubpages.  Navigating the forums is very overwhelming to me and I often give up before I even start.

I tend to write on topics that are already oversaturated. I need to be more creative. Thanks for asking.
