I'm not talking about your regular profile on FB, I'm referring to a page specific for your writings, like a fan page. I've had minimal success with it. I've had more success posting to FB groups that are relevant to certain Hubs I write; there is a significant number of people interested in such Hubs in certain FB groups, and it's not spammy, because the people there are genuinely interested and I don't over-do it. But the FB fan page thing I'm not certain about; even HP suggests it's not an entirely good idea (I read it in the Learning Center or FAQ, can't remember which one). What say ye?

Really good ideas there. I've thought about that. I'm not too active on my page, which is part of the problem; I ought to post some thoughts, videos, etc periodically. I also like your insight about already being famous, makes sense.
Yes, I've had some experience like that; often it takes me by surprise what people show interest in and what of my posts they will share.
It all leads back to good content.
You won't generate traffic by sharing links anywhere nearly so well as you will by creating the best content you can possibly make.
Yes, that's the kind of page I'm talking about. I agree, mine too has some success but not too lively. Thanks for sharing your experience, I am curious what are people's experiences with FB pages.
