Who pays for the photos they use?
Do any of you pay for the photos you use in your hubs or do you just use free photos or photos you've taken yourself?
I think thats going to depend on what kind of hubs your writing.
If your writing for enjoyment or as a hobby then you're more likely to use free photos or your own.
Where if you're writing for profit you're more than likely going to need a professional looking photograph. Assuming you are not a professional photographer you'll need to pay for a photo.
I have. The hub was inspired by the photo, yet it was only available at a fee.

Whitney05 always seems to include great photos in her hubs, and I'm wondering if she has some tips on finding photos, especially dog photos that are free to use. Anyone else who has tips for such free photos, would be appreciated for their advice. Thanks much.

Hi folksAre there any websites where I can get free photos or pics. I will naturally give credit to the owner of the photo. I tried MorgueFile, its too cumbersome, or am not navigating the site correctly. Thanks

Like probably most of us, I have thousands of images I took myself that would be useful in hubs. Not necessarily my own, as I have more photos than I could possibly use.Instead of all of us having to go searching for images on the web we can legally use, what about have our very own Hubpages gallery...

I'm curious where you all go to get photos. I used istockphoto.com sometimes and that can get pricey if there's nothing suitable in the half-price bin.For some subjects, I could use my own. For others, it's best to get stock. What good ideas do you have?

I understand Creative Commons and so forth. The question is about the Free photos that are allowed for commercial use, but they have ISTOCK across the image? ISTOCK is one of several places for free images that do this. Are photos, images like that permitted?
