What is the best way to get rid of a blood stain on a white shirt?


I got this awful stain on my white shirt that I don;t how to remove. Any pointers?

    What I used if the stain wasn't already set was peroxide...blood stains on clothing rugs etc...it works well on fresh stains primarily- the suggestion above sounds good and if it doesn't work try the peroxide what do you have to lose..

    Thanks a lot...used the hydrogen peroxide then followed it up with flacoinohio's idea and it has come out so clean...thanks

    Hahaha, good one...but i will have to wait for my first pay out first...which would mean i should have an adsense account, which i have to wait 6 months to get...long wait my friend :-(
