Me, hubpages is doing a lousy job of search engine optimization. They should just let us do it ourselves and cut it out. Some of us know more about this kind of stuff than all of them combined hmm not myself but I know some SEO wizzes on here.

My HubPages income is exactly half of what it was 2 months ago - very disappointing.

I think it is matter of demand and supply. Publisher's population is increasing at a faster rate that that of advertisers and end users. It will be very interesting to see the statistics if any of my fellow hubber can provide as a separate Hub. No doubt income is going down substantially by approx 40% of my earnings last year.

It's going down, but not to my surprise.  HubPages has issues with quality, especially old hubs that were written 4-5 years ago before Google revamped its algorithm to reduces the number of low-quality and spam pages that appeared in search results. Lots of poorly written articles on HP means less traffic for all of us, which means lower earnings.

If you want to see what the underlying problem is, check out this user:

I'll let you in on a little secret I discovered to get my earnings back up: Taking most of my articles off HP and reposting them on sites where I make more money :0

I have been here a year and have never made much, but now I'm making less because although views are up, CPMs are way down.  This month I had 500 more impressions than last month and earned $5 less.    Worse yet, I missed my payout by 49 cents!  Gotta love it!

Honestly, if it went up I would be surprised...no one loves me, no one visits my hubs...I'm sad.
