How do we feel about all caps hub titles?
THIS IS A HUB ABOUT A THING!
I'm not a fan myself, it seems inelegant. But what do you think? Annoying or a good way to get spotted?
It may appear that the writer is trying too hard to get attention. However, if capping the title is germane to the hub topic or content itself, then it may have its place. For example, if caps enhance the meaning of the word, like EXPLOSIVE or BLAST, it may acceptable. I read somewhere that google doesn't like content with a lot of caps, italics, or bolding of words; sorry can't remember where. Maybe the Learning Center?
I'm not a fan of all caps. I guess since I have been using the internet for the past 15 years or so, it was understood that all caps indicates "shouting." That is what I think of when I see all caps.
I am not a fan of all caps, even in titles. To me, it looks unprofessional and somewhat obnoxious. I have, however, seen some professional writers opt to capitalize the first letter of every word in the title, including the ones we used to consider a no-no, like "the" and "to." I'm all for that one if you're consistent!
I immediately think the person is trying to advertise something. The only thing that would make it worse is if the letters were flashing. My next guess is that they are yelling or angry. I hate it when people use all caps.
The annoying thing is that HubPages has just recently made an unannounced change that converts any level-4 headings to BOLD ALL CAPS. I don't like it.
Along with that, they changed level-3 headings so they come out in serif, which clashes with all the rest that is sans serif. But the worst part of it is that the characters have a squatty aspect ratio. When they shortened the character height (with respect to level-2 headings), they forgot to slim the character width.
Way off topic: Both level-3 and -4 headings have more space before them than level-2 headings do, which should not be. This problem was probably pre-existent, and should be corrected by increasing the space before level-2 headings to at least what separates two text paragraphs.

Do you know someone who is smarter than you are, and how do you feel about that person?EG:- You find yourself saying things like "She thinks she knows everything". In your head you hear the corollary "She DOES know everything and that is why she is so annoying."

You know the pushy sales people in the kiosks in the mall? How do YOU feel about them?I'm talking about the ones that try to get your attention and then suck you in to trying their product. It's an old-school tactic for sales, and personally I don't like it. It's a no-win situation if you don't buy...
