Hubpages, what do you love about it?
What do you love most about being on Hubpages? And since I'm asking, what do you hate about it?
get to see 0.50 cents earning everyday and 100 views per day. I feel happy. I hate it when HP says my hub is duplicate and even though i changed the text, add video, polls, capsules and resubmit, I still get the same message.
There are many things to love. Accolades make my inner kid happy - the accolades really helped me when I was just getting started. Then the Apprenticeship Program with so much useful learning and my great Hubaholics teammates. Now, the chance to contribute by welcoming new Hubbers as a HubGreeter on the Welcome Wagon team. All the time, writing and knowing people are reading what I have to share.
Underneath all this, just seeing so many people sharing so much helpful stuff kinda restores my faith in humanity.
Hate? Nothing at all. Hating is an energy drain. Frustrated? Briefly, yes, when HubPages locks up and I can't write.
I have had an account with HubPages for two years, but I didn't start writing my own hubs until January when I started the Apprenticeship program. I have written for Ezine Articles and Demand Studios in the past, and I was hesitant in writing for another online magazine. Ezine Articles was easy to write for, but the platform wasn't very user-friendly. Demand Studios wanted to take away my writing style and edit my articles to an extreme. I didn't enjoy the process at all, and they actually put me in tears at times. When I wanted to begin writing online again, I looked at HubPages and InfoBarrel. I wrote one article for both to see how the process went. InfoBarrel was not user-friendly at all. On the other hand, HubPages was extremely user-friendly. I loved the platform. When I was accepted into the Apprenticeship program, I was ecstatic as I knew I would learn the ins and outs of HubPages. All I can say is IT IS AWESOME! I am able to keep my writing style, the administrator is very friendly yet provides constructive criticism to help "me" be a better writer, and other authors I have gotten to know are all very friendly. There is absolutely nothing I hate about HubPages.
I love to express myself, and try to reach out to people if I am lucky enough. Copied content is one of my pet peeves on here when you have done your research and they claim it is too much like another hub on the same subject.
Getting paid.....it's why I came here, it's why I do anything here.
Nobody listens to me at home! Just kidding. There is such a wide variety of topics on HubPages and so many different personalities that everyone has a place here. I am like a sponge and I love to learn about things that interest me and stories that people have. I also love to communicate about things that I find interesting or have opinions about. The HP community is quite friendly and helpful and I really love it here; it feels a little like family. The only thing I don't care for is the extended periods of time when our pages are not updated and I stare at the same numbers and miss notifications.
It seems that everyone here is on the same boat - to express ourselves through writing and get paid! That is basic.
What I don't like about HP is that there are loads of published hubs that I don't think should be published. A lot of poorly-written articles out there and inaccurate. Plus loads of information that are self-opinionated without backing it up with evidences from the past and present examples.
Interestingly, there are also hubbers who are 'amateurs' but with professional approach!
First of al it is the people. You can find many on HP who share the same interests as you. The second is the income opportunity. You can never find any other writing websites that have the type of opportunity that HP offers.

Since I was turned down by HP regarding their apprenticeship program due to the fact that "you don't write well enough" (I so wish I didn't delete that email) yet I'm still allowed to write hubs which apparently are subpar then are they keeping me here so their pockets get fuller? ...

I am really upset over the whole discussion about the Apprenticeship program. Now disgruntled hubbers want to have the badge removed form our profiles. When I became an "elite", when it was known as that, I was treated really badly by some petty hubbers. When I joined the AP program I fell...

Hi - I really appreciate the apprenticeship program, and I'm waiting with baited breath to find out if I get in.It would be wonderful if, once a hubber applies to the apprenticeship program, a log appears saying "You applied on [date]." Maybe even, "Your application will be reviewed...

I logged in to Hubpages this morning to find that whereas previously, I had two unfeatured hubs that I have been intending to get around to editing or deleting, I now have 25 UNFEATURED for "lack of engagement".Whilst I appreciate that the older hubs may well need some work or in some...
