   I have joined about a month ago and I take very long to post content as I'm a busy mom and English is only my second language. Your account will not be closed but your score may decrease if you are not very active.

   HubPages is known for its flexibility. As already mentioned, your score and presence within the community will suffer from long-term hiatus, but that is easily remedied once you return to regular involvement. You are free to put HubPages on hold whenever you want and earn from the articles you have already written.
   
   This cumulative aspect is my favorite part. Every time I take a long break from writing, it's always nice to come back and know that my level of establishment has not diminished in my absence and that my earnings and popularity can only keep rising as long as I keep working.

   My daughter writes on here and only posts things that are too old for her other site. That means she only posts every 5 or 6 months. She has a low hubber score but she has no problem with her account.
   I know someone that died and their account is still up too. I do not think they will close an account on here unless the hubber has been banned and then it just says that the hubber has been banned.

   I doubt it.  I have been a member for two years.  It took me a year or so to post my first hub, and I am just now really using HubPages!

   Your account will not be considered closed as long as it is not inactive for more than twelve months.

    Ditto the before and the after too. The only consequence is as Leslie shared with a lifetime of seasons, yet a season also. Yet, the puzzle of content is simply how much. If a hub you ask, then maybe what Leslie says is answered with 'this question, of which you shared, which some say is content within an context. Odd, it seems to be growing too. Just kidding about, I am full of joy and bubbling with happiness, so I feel playful of words with words.

    I joined, published about three articles and then quit.  When I returned to Hub Pages five years later, my account and my articles were still here.

    I wrote 2 hubs back in 2010 and did nothing for over two years. I didn't even log into my account. I just started writing hubs again this year, and all is great. I hope to see one of you articles soon. Good luck.

    The only way your account will be deactivated is if you do it yourself. There are accounts on here that have no hubs and no activity and have been that way for at least three or four years. So no worries

    You should be fine, but it is always good for you to keep a presence by asking questions and reading what others post. This will help you write better articles when you do write. I wish I had looked at a few more hubs before I started writing. It would have helped me get a better start,

       HD, if you could do it differently what would you do? There is no reason why you can't implement what you learn here and now into your early hubs and try and improve on them.

    I don't think so, as I have observed people not posting for a long time. This flexibility of HubPages is unique and that is why I like it. Sometimes due to being busy in our real life, we may not be able to spend as much time here, everyday. That may result in lowering Hubber score, but your already posted content keeps the Hub score moving.
    You don't have to meet targets here. This flexibility of HP makes it an ideal platform for creative writing. You have the freedom of choice, even regards the subject you want to write. This differentiates it from other sites, for which I have worked before.
