Why are my new hubs not getting much attention?
I think my new travel hubs are just as good if not better than the old, but they are receiving little to no attention, what gives?
Hi there, I just looked at the Perugia and Venice hubs, and they are very nice. To increase "searchability", I recommend you use more text capsules, each with a subtitle that possibly match phrases that people would search for when they are looking for ideas on what to see in a place.
Great job. Keep up with the good work!
I don't know if it's related or not, but there seems to be a flood of travel related Hubs lately. Maybe some folks figured out it was lucrative and decided to get their piece, too.
Newly published webpages do not show up as high in Google searches as older webpages. This applies to all websites, including HubPages. It could be months, it could be a year before they get steady traffic.
As with any web property such as blogs or sites it takes time just keep writing more and do your normal marketing i.e. social bookmark networks, make a rss of all of your hubs and send to an aggregator.
Talk about them knock out a few quick relevant articles add your RSS links in the resources box and add them to top article directories like ezine articles, goarticles and so on make sure that they are high PR directories.
This should help not just your new hubs but all of your hubs get better ranking in search engines quicker but get traffic to your hubs.
Traffic=Clicks. Hope it helps a little.
Great help, thanks for the advice. I haven't really gotten far into the technical side of marketing my work. But I'm learning every day from advice like this!
takes time, my friend. My new hub had 48 score but over a week, it went up to 58, 2nd week, 75. You need to comment other hubs so that people will come to yours. It is a two way method. Give and take to make it work.
It takes time to get them indexed. Believe me I know your frustration. Patience is a virtue that I am lacking.
Give it time. I have been a keen follower of your hubs and they ae definitely top quality. Traffic is one factor that I believe most hubbers are struggling with. Sometimes all it needs is patience.
Hi Jack, don't be impatient. As everybody mentions it takes time to get noticed and I see that you already have a hubscore of 87. Congratulations! I myself have written a few travel articles that don't seem to get noticed. On the other hand, my article about Swiss cow bells gets hits every day and I wonder why? I have a fairly successful hub on saving money in Switzerland and I've noticed that it gets increasing attention so it seems that people are looking for advice on budget travelling. Instead of just writing another one of a million articles on the web, try to be different. If you are hoping to get rich on hubpages, forget about it! I've been on HP for just over 2 years and have so far only made approx. 85 $ & 50 $ that I won in a HP contest. My google & amazon accounts add up to nothing. Don't want to discourage you but unless you do some really good marketing (which I don't do as I am not a fan of facebook, twitter etc.) I think you would be more successful with other topics.

Hi,I have noticed that my analytics if showing good traffic to my hubs, but my adsense is not showing any clicks to my hubs ever since I started. I do not understand how I can have a decent amount of traffic and yet no clicks. Could I have adsense set up wrong with hubpages? ...

Just curious if anyone is using article directories like ezine, xomba and buzzle to drive traffic to your hubs. From what I understand about pageranks, if I write an article for ezine, even though ezine has a high pagerank, my article on ezine will have it's own pagerank...which will be low...

I just logged into my account and noticed that I have close to 30 hubs that are unfeatured due to engagement? Why did this happen all of a sudden? Is there anything I can do to make them featured again?

Over 1/4 of my hubs have not been moved to a niche site. They do not have much traffic from Google, so it is not HPs fault that they have not been selected. There is nothing wrong with them, but they do not have "Google love" so are only moved in the slow process where I ask HP to move...

I joined HubPages about 1 year ago and I have only written 13 hubs. Out of these 13 only 2 hubs are getting good traffic. That's why I deleted 11 hubs and left these 2 hubs on here. I'm not sure if I should go on with writing here. I think I would still keep my account because I like the HubPages...

A grimble grumble moment..I like writing here - I like the layout and the forum and community are supportive.. but...I have a real feeling that my Hubs would be better off on my blogs.Of course I understand I am a guest here - but at the end of the day Google hates us.My traffic is dropping like a...
