I created 12 hubs and applied for adsense. They disapproved my request. Can anybody tell why? they say that insufficient content..what is the reason. My 9 hubs are featured. Even then why it got disapproved?
You're probably close, so hang in there. I've only been here for a little more than two months and I've seen this same question asked 100 times, so you're not alone. This happens to everyone, including me. I assumed applying for Google Adsense was a part of getting started with HubPages and when I was denied, I was almost offended. I got the "insufficient content" explanation as well, that's what most people get. Google just wants to make sure that you're worth investing effort in. I'm not saying that I went about it the right way, but I contiued to contribute to HP and continued applying to Google Adsense and eventually was approved. Hang in there and keep working on your HP, reapply and you'll be good to go.
thanks cantuhearmescream for the help and encouraging me
Cathie,
No problem, trust me, I know how frustrating it is and I didn't know where to go for help... I was lost and alone :-(
Cat
Cantuhearmescream so i have to edit my previous hubs to make its content sufficient or i have to write more hubs?
No, no, not necessarily. If they aren't broke don't fix them. You're hubs could be just fine, but Google Adsense likes to see you "exist" for a certain amount of time before they'll even consider it. I changed nothing to get in. Just kept making more
I just looked at one of your hubs and you have a great format and a lot of information, it's actually quite nice. Don't quote me on this, but I think you might live in a place that there is something like a 6 month waiting period for approval because
Cathie Bridges, count yourself lucky that your Adsense application is only disapproved and not disabled (i.e. banned). I know of a Facebook friend who applied with only one article in Blogspot and got a permanent ban (reason unknown).
By the way, AdSense seems to disallow food blogs from participating in the program lately, so don't write too many hubs on food until after your account is approved. (I was helping a friend to apply and they replied thus.) Not that food articles are disallowed... I believe they either have too many food blogs participating or they do not want to focus on food advertisements. In any case, clicks from food advertisement doesn't pay well.
In 2008, I applied for Adsense at almost the same time when I opened my blogspot account (i.e. with only one or 2 articles). It seems like Adsense is getting stricter and stricter each day. I have heard of people writing 39 hubs and yet could not get their AdSense approved. Honestly, I don't know the criteria. It could be perhaps the 39 hubs were of poor quality, or that a total of 39 hubs is still good enough to apply. (I believe it is the former.)
Cantuhearmescream is right. You don't need to feel disappointed. It's a matter of time that you will get it, so keep applying after every 10 articles or so. (The best part in joining HubPages is that they moderate new hubs, so you don't have to worry about violating any of AdSense terms and conditions, unlike if you are on your own.)
Just be patient. I just read couple of your hubs & they were really nice. So, now apply after some time only. Applying again & again after rejection will make your chances even more worse. All the best.
Gags, you are right... if the cause of the rejection is not addressed before you reapply, they may find you very troublesome and this may affect future applications.
I wrote 18 Hubs and waited 1 month before I applied for adsense. I heard it takes time and a little bit of luck, do not despair, just keep writing and applying. sooner or later they will approve it. I think this hub will give you an idea of what you need to do to get google adsense approval.

I hope it helps, throw a post on here when you get accepted so we all know how it went
Ketage, looks like you got your AdSense approved with 18 hubs, right?
yes , it was approved after 18 hubs, I have heard some people got it with less, and some needed more. I am not sure what the criteria is for google adsense. but 18 seemed to be my lucky number
I ran into the same problem. Hubpages recommends getting at least ten featured hubs, but I didn't get mine until I got around 15 features, and I'm getting the information as we speak. It's a common mistake to rush into it, I'd just wait another week or two, and keep posting hubs.
How can you apply through Hubpages if you already applied elsewhere and were turned down ? I am stuck in a loop that says to apply through Hubpages, but when I do that, it won't take my email. Can anyone help?
Wait for six months, publish more hubs (say 50+) with substantial information. Then try applying for Adsense.

Hi,I do not why Google is not approving my Adsense application. Am from India and I heard that people from India should wait minimum 6 months to apply for Adsense. Also they should have published minimum 10 hubs. I have done all these things. But when I apply to Adsense, am not getting approved....
