How do you market your hubs on twitter?
Just wanted to know how do successful hubbers promote their hubs on twitter. Strategy, steps, tips, success stories, etc.
Well.. Since I write video game guides primarily, I tend to link the guide on twitter, followed by tagging a few hash tags relating to the guide and game I wrote about. I do the same with Youtube videos that I create, that I try and relate them, and get them out to as many people as possible, although while Twitter can be useful, I find Google to be my main source of visitors to HubPages.
Tags can be really helpful to get found. Do you follow any topic leaders that can re-tweet your posts? Or these people just simple ignore your tweets and never comment about them?
Umm.. To be honest.. I follow less than 20 people, but have gotten over 4,000 followers from my guides and videos... So I rely on them to read my guides, but still find Google is the best way of bringing visitors to my page.
Johnrr631992 , when you say Google, do you mean Google Search or Google Plus?
i never had much success with twitter tlll now, but i have read that adding hashtag# just with the main topic helps to get more traffic since it can then be searched on the net.
Didn´t know that. Great way to get traffic.
I don't seem to be able to find the hashtag#. I only see "Reply Delete Favorite More". Under "More" are "Email Tweet" and "Embed Tweet", that's all.
I write a lead-in to grab attention, followed by the link. For example, for a recipe hub, I'll write, "What's for Dinner."
I also pay attention to what's trending. For example, after the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, I offered my condolences to the families and victims, followed by a link to my poem hub about sudden death/loss of a brother.
I also will write "RETWEET!!" after my lead-in, followed by the hub link.
Good steps. Do they provide quality traffic from twitter?
Not really, just a bump but I keep trying. I need more followers. Sometimes I do get a tweet that someone retweeted one.
I´m guessing unless the tweet goes viral it doesn´t have great impact in traffic

I have been away from hubpages for over a year now and I was just browsing all my hubs and looking at all the new features available to improve my hubs, but before I dive in and redo all my Hubs I was wondering is Hubpages still a reliable source of income? Or is it dead and buried? Is anyone still...

I am starting to learn how to social bookmark. I've been doing it on twitter, facebook, igoogle, digg, delicious, diigo, my blogs, pingomatic and a few other places. I have only been doing it on some of these sites for the last four or five days. It probably takes a while to see...

I am having a bad day - I've been ill for a week, son #2 has now been ill for a month, husband came home yesterday full of despair at not getting promotion and much needed pay rise. So this morning I gave myself my usual half-baked pep talk about my new 'career' online. Then came on HP for a...

Many Hubpages writers believed that this was due to their profiles...

I'm relatively new to Hubpages, and so far I've published three articles. However, the view numbers are pretty small, and I'd like to increase them. I'm currently writing some more Hubs right now, but any tips that you'd like to share, I'd really appreciate them
