Is their still an option to use keywords when writing Hubs anymore?? I'm so confused...
So I just wrote my first new hub in a few months, and I have to say I was kind of confused when I couldn't find a place to put my keywords in for the search engines... Is that just a thing of the past now, or is there still the option to use keywords when writing hubs??
No Miss, That was taken away several months ago. Hope this helps.
I think you're referring to the tags that we used to assign to hubs. Now HubPages automates that process and chooses tags for us. You should still research keywords and use them in your titles and hubs. The search engines should be able to pick up on what you're writing about by the words you use in your writing.
No, keywords option is history. Now, write your summary hub and include the keywords. Really helped a lot.
You're confusing keywords with tags. Keywords are words you use WITHIN your Hub. Tags are words that you add to a separate section, which were once used by search engines to decide what your blog post was about.
Tags were never used for that purpose on HubPages, in fact they were invisible to search engines even before they were discontinued.
When you write a Hub, ask yourself what words people are likely to type into Google to find your Hub. Those are your keywords. Use them naturally in your text as you write your Hub. That's it in a nutshell.

Is writing hubs about making money or for the love of writing?I don't write hubs that will get me hundreds of advertisement clicks, I write because I love writing. Why do you write hubs?

I haven't written anything on HP for about two years. I still come by occasionally to comment, or post to the forum. I noticed that with 174 hubs I get about 100 pages views a day. Just wondering if real traffic is sent to those participating, rather than those who are not. ...

How about a very detailed guide on how people should stop wasting their time and how to write hubs that won't get ZZZ? This would need to include ways to guarantee traffic, 'no no' topics, quality aspects minimum capsule and variety counts, and other things that are used to identify which hubs get...
