   I think at first if I see people don't know what I know, I should share from my own knowledge then I will find out new things and share with others. We should do both simultaneously.

   I think it is better to write about things you know and have a genuine interest in.  That way, you can share your knowledge with others.  I think it is obvious in some hubs when a person is writing about a subject he or she knows nothing about.

   I write about what I know. But if I develop an interest in something or I find out something that I think others will want to know about, I will research it and share that with others. I love to inform people about something that will amaze and astound them. I want to do thorough research though because I do not want to sound like an ignoramus spouting off about something I do not know about and have bad information on. My curiosity sends me in strange directions sometimes too. If I find something that amazes me, I research first and write about it. Make sure to research your source also. An authoritative source is vital to good research. Wikipedia is only good to send you in new directions to research, not as an authoritative source.

   It is best to start out writing about what you know. After you get a hang of writing, then move to learning new things and sharing them with the world. That's how I went about it and have loved the process.

      Iburmaster I think you are right on target with your approach.  That's the way I write also.  I really enjoy writing about things I am not familiar with because I use the research process to learn about something totally new.

   I do some of both. If I write only what I know, I run out of ideas, and I get bored. If I throw in some things I don't know, and relate it to things I know, it keeps things interesting - at least for me it does.

   I usually write topics that I know or familiar of. When i run out of topics, i would do some research on topics that I don;'t know but are popularly sought by hubbers. Look at the questions posted and you will know what to write. These are the best way to give you the guide of what to write.
