   Where are people publishing that doesn't impose this NOINDEX nonsense?
   
   Anyone taking their talents elsewhere? I am fed up with that NOINDEX tag being inserted into my hubs. The nebulous 'make it better' explanation is silly.

   I like to use Yahoo! Small Business Web Hosting for my own websites, that way I have full control of everything.  Plus, the hosting fee is very affordable and your online income will easily cover that in no time, while the rest will be 100% profit.  When concerning free-hosted websites, the blogger.com format works just fine for me, usually ranks fairly well on the .blogspot domain, and doesn't have any of the No-Index hooey that you spoke about here.
   As for community writing sites, I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet that most of 'em don't go to the extreme of using this particular HTML tag.
   Overall, the best bet is to go with your own personal websites and free-hosted blogs 'cause you control all the no-follow/do-follow commands and on-page html, etc.

      Well, yes, but you don't get the cachet of an established site if you roll your own. I have some of those myself: maybe it's time to move all my hubs there.

      Any website over two years old will definitely do better, if they have a decent amount of incoming links, quality content, etc.  Yeah, new sites are in the sandbox the first 3 months, then slowly gain traffic over time.

   Nicomp, you can use Blogger or WordPress, or you can host your own website. But I  feel you should take the NOINDEX tag positively because it's a flag to tell you that your hub is not up to quality standards. Even if HubPages remove the NOINDEX tag, it won't get anywhere near Google's first page.
   
   The question you should ask is: "Why is HubPages doing this?" In its article, "Google Panda Two Years Later: The Real Impact Beyond Rankings & SEO Visibility", dated 25 February 2013, Search Engine Land says: "The Panda update caused “a massive loss of traffic and revenue,” according to HubPages’ CEO Paul Edmonson. According to data from SearchMetrics, HubPages SEO visibility is currently 62% lower than it was before Panda. (I don't know if I can put the link to the article, but you can google for it. Then only will you understand why HubPages is doing what it does,)
   
   If you need any help to get your hubs featured, I may be able to spare some time to guide you on one hub, so that you know why the NOINDEX tag is slapped on your hubs. (My only qualifications is that I have published 15 hubs, and all 15 hubs are featured. No guarantee that I can definitely get your hub featured, though. Just that I will try my best to help out.)

      Nicomp, sorry, you take it badly. If you have 100s of featured hubs, you could have solved your own problems easily. So why are you complaining about the NOINDEX tag? You are most welcome to help me improve my hubs. Which one would you like to start?
