If you don't put your adsense ID into your Hubpages profile, then you will receive no income, no revenue sharing, from Hubpages. Instead, Hubpages would get 100% of any income your hubs would make.
Having said that, it is likely that the value of an Adsense income from Hubpages to new members is low because it takes time for their hubs to gain traffic, back links and shares - so, if you are a new/joining user, it would be wrong to focus on any perceived loss of income by not being able to update your Google Adsense account. Instead, new users should be focussing on writing well, to the point where they can apply for and obtain an Adsense ID.
