I suggest that you read these two hubs by WryLilt - http:// wrylilt.hubpages.com/hub/A-Simple-Explanation-of-Pinterest-And-How-To-Work-It and http:// wrylilt.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Generate-Traffic-Using-Pinterest . There's also a HubPages learning center guide on Pinterest here: https://hubpageshelp.com/standards/Learning-Center... .
These hubs explain how you can effectively get traffic and more views from Pinterest even if you don't have any followers or even if you don't have a Pinterest account. The key is that you should make MFP (made for Pinterest) images. These images should get visitors to your hub to be the ones to pin them to Pinterest and that will get you more traffic.
Your image should be high quality and it should be something that would entice people to pin the image and to read your hub. You can put text in your images too. WryLilt's hubs have examples of MFP images so use those for reference. Also, remember that you can't just use any photo you get from the Internet. Hope this helped.
