How are the Hubs being scored? The ones that I think are the best have lower scores than others that I think are not as well done.
sort by best latest
It's from clicks, vote ups/ downs, comments left, quality, subject knowledge...
Yes, but when a hub is initially published by the author, HP gives it a score prior to views, clicks & comments. I am wondering how HP figures these start numbers. Some of my hubs were given high scores to begin with and others were not.
Quality Assessment sounds about right. I realize that so much of my written formatting could use improvement. Thank you for your feedback, Martin. :)
Thank you, somethingblue, the dartboard was the most accurate photo for this question that I could find. :) I know that it is not a big deal. The Hub scores on my Hubs are certainly not powerful enough to keep me from writing.
That is correct. After the initial evaluation and hubscore, it will then either gain or lose rank depending on traffic from sources outside of HP. I.e search engines, social sites, etc..
Thank you Phlebotomy Adviser for your comment. Yes, I do realize that eventually the hub scores fluxuate depending upon traffic, comments, votes, etc. I was originally asking how Hub Pages decides the initial score when a hub is first published. :)
