    Amazon Associates kicking MIssourians

    As most of you know, Amazon has recently kicked out Associates from Missouri, as well as other states.
    I am wondering if anyone has found another good source for affilite links? I am a member of CJ and Linkshare, but the links they provide have to be inserted as is and cannot be included as a hyperlink, which is what I am wanting to do.

    I just read an article in Fortune magazine that talks about Amazon's methods that has me thinking about withdrawing from their program entirely, but I don't know any alternatives, either.

    As a Missourian, I wish I had an answer for you.  I received my e-mail a couple of weeks ago stating that we were dropped.  Does that mean we can't make money if people click on Amazon capsules and buy?  I figured it did and started moving products over to e-bay.

    They dropped California a while back because of the sales tax issue, so the state reversed course since they were losing tax revenue from Amazon Associate income. I think I was dropped for about 6 months and then automatically reinstated. I'm surprised Missouri didn't learn from California's reversal. So, hopefully, this is temporary.

    I think Hubpages allows one affiliate link per hub, so hopefully you can put a hyperlink to something like Linkshare.

    It  is a question of sales tax collections. CJ and Linkshare are not allowed in HP articles so don't try it, your hubs will not pass QAP.
    There is supposed to be a section in the learning center that explains some of the sites that cannot be used.
    Ebay may be your best choice. Only pennies are made from Amazon or Ebay so don't worry about it too much, it's not worth it.

    Sholland10, I believe it does. I hadnt considered using Ebay in my hubs, but I suppose I will have to.

    gallaryofgrace, It is only pennies but those pennies added up. Plus, having the easily hyperlinked affiliate links were nice for use on other sites besides hubpages.
