Why is total number of page views greater than the total number of times impression is served?

I noticed that the total number of page views I have is always greater than total number of impression served in any day. In fact, sometimes twice the number. Can someone explain this to me?

but even with that, All I use to see under my statistics column is "page views". And this usually far greater than the number of times impression is served I.e page view per day is far greater (like twice) than impression served per day.
