Is it possible to obtain a high hub score on a creative writing piece?
I feel discouraged that right after I post my first creative writing piece on here, and spending A LOT of time formatting it and composing it so it looks good, only receiving a hub score of 71, my lowest hub score currently. Is it possible to get a high score on creative writing, and if so, how?
Most of my poem hubs are in the 70s. They don't go much higher. There may be a couple in the low 80s because I added text on the topic, a poll, a video, etc. to keep it afloat. The best way to increase the score is to make the hub title search-friendly. Cardisa has a hub that teaches how to do this and it helped me a lot. I haven't done any creative writing pieces, only poems.
Thanks Jan, thats very helpful information. I will keep my poetry to the occasional post and ensure I format it well when I do.
Creative writing and Poetry does not do as well on Hubpages as articles do. This is because of what people are searching for. If you have a story or poem that can connect with something that is trending it will do better. That is the same across the net.
Don't let that put you off. Use the Hub to help shape your piece. Place a poll asking what people think. Use pictures to add to the visualization. You may never get higher than the low 70's but you should never stop writing.

I'm curious as to whether there has been a decrease in hubbers using the hub hopper to rate hubs. I just have a feeling there is because my hub scores haven't been fluctuating as much (which is fine with me). Overall, I'm wondering if there's been a bit of a slow down in hub QAP due to...

I'm wondering if creative writing - poetry and personal narratives - is appropriate content for a hub?

Why do poems even though well written have a low hub score?Poems are not really lengthy and most poems carry less than 1250 words. Why don't poems have a different rating than a regular article?

Ok, maybe it's just me, but how articulate do you have to be to post pictures of half naked woman into a Hub, and call it creative writing?

I used to be a hubber and I posted how to's and informational hubs, but I got burnt out because it wasn't my niche. I have written one short story now, do you think creative writing is a good way to go on hubpages?

I would like to write a hub piece on a vital element of creative writing, collecting and storing ideas but I do not quite understand how to start. Seems a bit complicated to me. I would also like to write others on a different topic, focusing on the Fine Arts, The various arts movements and periods...
