I have my own eggs so don't want to buy pickled eggs and promised a grandson to make him some with no idea it took two weeks at least as I read. Seems my mom put them in pickled beet juice and I don't recall her waiting that long. Please help if you have a shorter version! Thanks

Wow Phyllis I wondered about doing that very thing! Maybe my mother did sometime but really beets is all I remember her doing. Now I may like the bread and butter idea since I love those pickles but not pickled beets at all! Thank you so much!
You are most welcome, Jackie. This is the easiest way I have found of preserving eggs (especially after Easter) -- and they are quite tasty, too.
Thanks again Phyllis and I am fixing them right now!
This sounds like a great idea, Phyllis!
Hm I don't know; I doubt it. Should the boiled egg be heated in the pickled beet juice?
No I don't have one or yes I would try it. Thank you.
An egg that tastes like a pickle I guess, lol. Sure don't think I will like them but have promised them to a couple of my favorite guys!
Thanks Randi; I will look, I hope it would work by Sunday! Again, thanks.
Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I'm curious.....did you make them? And if so, how were they?
I put some in bread & butter juice & they said they were pretty good but preferred if they were a little more pickled so I put them back in the fridge & since they will be back in two weeks I put some in pickled beet juice so I will see t
