This came to mind from a question that Examiner-1 placed of another writer. How would Hub Pages know if a writer has passed away? Do they check on the writers, noticed that they have not written anything in a while? In reference to myself last year, I was real bad sick, from an infection was in & out of hospital and I did have to have my leg amputated. My family doesn't know I write or my password, so what of those that have no family. How would they know to inform and cancel site or whom Hub Pages could contact to check on long absent writers?

Hi Kathleen, bizarre yes, depressing not so much. People to pass away, it is a way of life. Granted it can be painful to those they leave behind, but it does happen. I do agree HP would be a small issue, but still a issue to think about.
Hi Jaydawg808, I also doubt they have time either, so they should put someone in place to monitor pages. HP does contact writers, they have myself a few times on no'no's I've done and on special project they want to start.
Hi Sundeep, yes I agree they should share and/or have in its policy of this. I have friends that passed away on other sites, their pages are still up and its been years since their passing. Strange thing of those, people know and still write on it.
