    Hubpages Pro Beta?

I read the blog post on HP Pro Beta, but it didnt say much. Does anyone know if they chose the writers yet, or what it means for those they choose?

Kathleen, I carefully read the page in the blog and it sounded as if only certain Hubs, or Hubbers, were being selected to participate at the moment. As I reached the end I saw that it also mentioned something about Profile page. When I looked on mine there is a HubPro section which has been added and you can choose 'Yes' or 'No' to participate, but if you opt out then you have to wait 60 days to get back in.
They are also adding it to FAQ, I looked (in FAQ and LC) and did not see it yet.

Examiner, read it again. I just took another look. It clearly states Hubbers will be notified of the changes made to their hubs and will be sent a before and after. We are not notified prior to the changes being made.

So I guess we are in the limbo section waiting to hear who they choose...

To be chosen may depend on how much traffic you receive.

This is the first I've heard of it. I read the blog before answering your question. Well, it's not really an answer, but a comment. I hope the writers are contacted in advance of editor recommended changes and either get the writer's approval or ask the writers to make the changes. I don't relish the idea of someone coming in and making changes to any of my work without my approval.

Professional editors don't make changes. They do the proofing, make recommendations and leave it up to the writer to accept or reject. It is then the writer's responsibility to make the changes.

I hope we get clarification on this matter. It will determine whether or not I opt out.

Yes, it says in the blog that the writers will be notified and have the choice to accept or deny. If the writers have the time they may choose to proofread it themselves. The errors are highlighted and the writer is able to correct them. Profile page

Thanx, Examiner. I misunderstood. It sounded to me that the writers would be shown the before and after pursuant to changes being made.

You are welcome Shauna. I also began to say that Profile page has a choice of Yes/No, but if you opt out must wait 60 days to opt back in. Comment was out of characters.

I do think it will likely improve traffic for the people and/or selected hubs

There is a great thread on this in the forum.  Robin answered a lot of questions directly and they are in the process of developing the Q&A on it.  They are targeting the highest traffic hubs first and will start in a week to give those who wish to the opportunity to opt out.

If they choose your hub they make the changes and then email you with a list of the changes, why they made them etc.  you do not have to keep the changes, you can edit it again afterwords if you don't like what the editors have done etc.

I'd suggest checking out the forum post on it.
