I sometimes wonder why I bother placing e-Bay ads on my Hubs.. In the two years I have been writing here, I have never received one dime, Is it as likely as my landing on the moon?

john000 - yup any click is a good click but it was better when we were actually paid for clicks on e-Bay. I wish someone would take a good look at the earning potential for writers as most of us really care about this site. Thanks for your comment.
You're right. It seems like the minute an avenue for revenue opens up, somebody gets the great idea of taking it away. Maybe something else will open up for us to try to monetize.
I got rid of mine and then when I read that some people were quite successful with e-bay ads I added a few capsules to see what would happen. I get lots of impressions but have never sold one item.
My feeling about eBay items is that they are often "one of a kind", You have an ad with an appropriate item, then it's sold and gone. I've never thought this was an advantage. Amazon usually has a stockpile of identical items.
I do the same and get a large number of clicks but I have never had a sale. When we we paid for clicks I earned money on paper but never ever reached payout which meant I never received a dime. Can't hit to have a few as you say.
That helps thank you very much and i agree, I have had better luck on Amazon.
I checked out your Hubs, on subjects which I know nothing about, but I recognize why your readers are attracted to the e-bay ads on them. It sure does help your success rate when you are able to match the products so well to your writing.
Prior to the new system I earned on clicks but never received those earnings because they did not reach the threshold. Makes one question why we continue to place e-Bay ads at all.
We all seem to aim to get an Adsense account so that we can place ads on our Hubs. No one tells us that it is unlikely you will actually earn anything from them. It could take four years to make payout from Adsense but Amazon does work for me.
I had a look at one of your hubs - you could try adding products such as Tyres on e-Bay - you have a great article of car Tyres. Thanks for your comment.
I completely agree with you - Amazon does work but it is a long slow ride. Thank you for your comment.
That is a shame for you as I do find that Amazon is probably the better of the two. As for adsense I estimate that it would take me about four years to make payout.
