Is it possible to reverse or prevent someone from following you?

    Is it possible to reverse  or prevent someone from following you?

    I just got notification of someone now following me. I checked them out and do not want to be followed by this person. Can I make it so he can't follow me?

    Wow, that is a very interesting question.

    I don't know the answer, but I'm following this question to find out.

    I'm thinking there is usually some sort of generic "blocking" procedure --- on almost any website? And, I'm thinking that generic "blocking" is possibly the only thing that can be done when it comes to another Hubber?

    Because we can't really stop anyone from reading our Hubs. They're visible all over the Internet -- to the general public as well as fellow Hubbers.

    There IS a way to keep certain Hubbers from coming up in your "recommended" list, though. That is available on the page where you edit our profile. I don't know if that would resolve your problem, though?

    So sorry you are having this problem, and I hope someone will show you a way to resolve it.

      That only prevents them from showing up on that list as someone they think you might like to read.

    No, but there is nothing to worry about if someone follows you.  It just means they are interested in your Hubs.

      Thanks Matthew, I just don't want them making comments. This person is beyond creepy and weird, but I remember I can not allow comments if they are not welcome.

      That's true. You cannot prevent someone from following. I have tons and tons of these. If they ever make a comment you do not like, you can just deny it.
