While I have stayed out of the forums for well over a year now and did know about the great dislike for certain hubs and hubbers, I did not know that some people complain in the hopes of getting hubs unpublished. I think that could be very discouraging to some people.
I do find some hubs very difficult to read whether the hubber has a problem physically, medically or English is a 2nd or 3rd language for them. I just leave that writer be and have found that in the vast majority of cases they leave HP on their own.
However, I don't agree with unpublishing hubs simply because another hubber complained. I have come across a couple of hubbers who have medical (physical and/or mental) issues that show in their writings and others simply do not have English as their first language. If their topic is interesting to me, I read, if not, I don't. If a hub is simply spammy, pure marketing, or too short to present an opinion, plot, etc., then can understand why those types of hubs could be removed.
Having one's hubs unpublished could be very discouraging no matter what that hubber's goals or motivations are. If one doesn't like a hub or a hubber, they simply should not give them any traffic in any way shape or form. Talking trash and reporting things can actually cause others to want to see what the ruckus is about and give a temporary boost in their traffic.
I do not see a need for a campaign against the hub or it's writer, no need to talk trash, just leave them be and don't click on their hubs. Hubs with overwhelming grammar, spelling, and other issues will be down voted and won't get the traffic of stellar hubs that are written on subjects that people are actually searching for.
