What do you do if someone copies your hub onto their website?
I found that one of my hubs has been flat out copied and pasted onto a webpage. Without my authorisation no permission and not even an author credit. I have no clue what to do about it, or where to start.
You need to file a DMCA with whoever 'hosts' that website, Cynthia. Lots has been written about that process - here on HP, on google etc. Do a search ... but if you can't find the help you need, you can email me if you want telling me which hub it is. Don't put details of the hub on here.
I was not going to put out the details. I do think it has been removed. Not knowing anything about the process I sent a complain to the webpage. It seems to have been removed- I get an error code when I try to view it now.
Cynthia this person has in essence done a copyright infringement. I would contact the editor of Hub Pages, and ask for her assistance.
Thank you Matt! I am pretty sure the content was removed, but I will be researching what to do if it happens again! I appreciate you taking the time to point me in the right direction!
This happened to me long ago. It was discussed in this forum post. I invite you to read this forum to see what we should do.

I notice that on the "copied Hubs" page, there's a column for "removed". I've never seen any Hub with an entry in that "removed" column and there seems to be no way to mark a copy as "removed". Is there meant to be?It would be an awesome...

A hub of mine was copied on a blogger blog. I saw the copyright symbol on my account and found the blog. Clicking on "report abuse" I filled out their form, and the article was removed in a few hours. It was very easy, thanks to the notification by HP and quick action by blogger.

Hello, I am just curious, what if somebody likes my hub, copies it and puts it on their website? Will my hub get nailed as a duplicate?

I just saw the notification from hubpages, which I appreciate that this poetry hub has been removed from advertising. This is a wonderful poem, and controversially may be a copy of a poem originally written by Henry Lawson. I hate to put it to death, it was never meant to make money, just to let...

Is there a maximum recommended number of "tags" that can be put onto a Hub?Looks like an almost unlimited number possible. I have put everything I can think of on a couple of Hubs. Will that be considered tag spamming and detract from Hub score?Google blogger, for example, has no...
