Looking forward to fall or still want some more summer yet?

I agree! I am ready for Fall but I hope it lasts as long as summer!
Big fan of prose so will give you a thumbs up.....
Beautiful poetry and I agree with it completely. Here is mine. https://letterpile.com/poetry/When-Autumn-Leaves...
It is not short where I live but usually something moves in to mess it up! Like now some low front to cool it down to 60s. I want 70s!!!
Yes Autumn is the time to have that camera on us at all times! So many things I have missed without it!
It is annoying when a weather change will mess things up. One Autumn a few years ago the leaves all turned an ugly brown overnight and dropped off. Within two days all the trees were bare.
When I lived up north sometimes one bad freeze and that was the way it was; dead and gone! Makes the winter so long!
Autumn colours are the best excuse to get out & take photos!
Please excuse me, Jackie, but I'd like to ask Alex a question; hope you don't mind (can't find an email). Alex, can you tell me how to contact your b&b; might visit some time!
I don't mind at all Ann but you may have to go to one of his hubs!
I always hope for a long, long fall and I am not sure I remember ever having one!
Yes i am with you on not being a Fan of brutal humidity..
I have had enough of this summer too. Hot and bug bites no matter what I spray on! I have everything ever made & home recipes too! They are still out there though but not as often! No color here yet to speak of but this week will probably bring i
Yes, I love it too! I have my camera ready, just a bit soon here yet! Your tree shot is gorgeous.
Sounds like you are just dreading winter, Bob? I can't blame you living so far north, I bet it is not a lot of fun. May you have a mild one.
I understand that. I am so sick of heat and not being able to get outside! Summer in NC seems to come on hot and stay there until it is done! Sorry you don't have fall; it is my favorite and always too short.
I'm in a forest, (California Sierra foothills). Sometimes we have fall color, but severe drought and hot dry summer has resulted in a frightful die-off of old trees. Swaths of huge Ponderosa pines are dead. In some places 50 to 90%. Very sad/scary.
I guess we forget sometimes the bad times you guys are having in California. We had a very dry summer but now it won't stop raining but I am sure our fears can't compare. May God remind me to say a little prayer for you guys; while enjoying my fall.
Rochelle, Yes a trip for me to Palomar Mountain one sees the same. Dry meadows and forest land. Hopefully with El Nino new and regenerated life will spring anew. Then next year may bring Fall with its treasures :-)
You must live in a great summer place. Spring is special to me too, I suppose everyone after putting up with winter! lol
Ah, yes, I was just saying that to Bob and I have been there...that is why I live south!
Well I prefer a cup of coffee, just kidding. I am going right now to get my sweet sick kitty in my lap!
I do wonder how anyone can see this season and not believe in a higher power; don't you? God's beauty is so breathtaking and I cannot imagine I could ever think all the glory of this earth came from an accident.
Blessings this Sunday, Michael.
YEs, we should be careful not to rob ourselves of all created pleasurable scenery, lest we become miserable in dissatisfaction being bored due to- self imposed ignorance. The gifts of the Creator are to be appreciated and enjoyed.
Summer where I live was not so great either but it seems to be getting as far from perfect for fall as it was in our hot summer so I hope I get some great days of fall and those gorgeous trees you speak of. Falls beauty does astound me more than any.
