Hubbing about one specific niche, or several. Does it make a difference?
I am wanting to get back into being active on HubPages and my goal is to hit 100 hubs (28 currently, but only half get views).
I am wondering, is there that much difference these days in writing about a single niche, 2-3 different categories, or just random?
Make yourself happy first. Write about whatever interests you the most on that day. That very well may turn out to fit in a niche that you are passionate about or might be something you never have written about before and never will again. I'd rather follow a writer who dabbles in a lot of different topics out of sheer interest than one writing to churn out hubs in a specific niche.
I like your thinking, I have also followed a couple peoples blogs because I never knew what they would post about next.
I think it is a good idea to have 3-5 subjects that you stick to. Many readers like to return to an author who has proven an expert in a subject,, However, don't be afraid to venture out and write about a random topic now and then. I think readers also like to see what else an author is interested in and you might open new doors for them into topics they might not have known they were interested in.
Thanks, I was thinking of 2-3 areas, so I may give that a try to start.

I'm currently trying to get my husband to help me write some hubs. I'm happy to type them up and edit them, I basically want his input on topics that I know nothing about - because the more topics you cover the more chance you have of getting a great niche. My husband is half won over on the idea I...

Is it better to write hubs all in one niche or write about different things? So far, I have 13 Hubs published. I have been jumping around on topics, writing about what I am inspired to do some research on that day. I do have several focused on drug addiction, though. I wonder, is it better to write...

If people want to know how to work on a hub so that it ranks well once published on a niche site, I would be open to writing a guide. I will show you my research process and the way I generally structure the content and how I determine this structure and more. This will take some time to get done...

Under each niche site's more tab (upper left) you could search specifically for articles under that site. Is there a way to still do this? The search bar is gone and the magnifying glass makes me search all of Maven. If I wanted to search all of Maven, I would go to the Maven site. How are we...

The blog post made it clear you're interested mostly in brand new hubs for the niche sites. If you release a list of topics you'll be making niche sites for, we can write new hubs on those topics. You'll have to do so eventually and doing so now will give us time to create enough content for each...
