Is there any benefit from HubPages of starting a hub from a question?

I know it is encouraged; or use to be anyway, to do a hub from a question but I was wondering if there is any benefit and should the question it came from be included in the hub? I had one like similar that I gave the hubbers name and question but once they were no longer here I didn't see any point in keeping that information as part of the hub and just wondered if there was any other reason to? Thanks you Tim. A very thorough answer & I am sure you are right. Yes I have done hubs such as social enterprise, not really sure of the commercial or search traffic value of those & how they might benefit us but I like those personally.
