Ok Stella, I am going to assume that since you put this question up you are open to constructive criticism.
First, you do have some great articles that are well written and thorough. However I notice your titles are not good fits for what is being searched. Do you use Keyword tool by google to get ideas? It can be quite helpful.
For example A teeny bit like Beeny: First consider most writers would capitalize it differently like A Teeny Bit Like Beeny. Also consider that this title is not very keyword friendly when it comes to what people would search in order to find it. I would likely search How to Add Value to My House or What to Remodel to Add Value to My Home. Honestly I am not even sure what Beeny is. Is this a non American term? I've been in real estate here in the US for almost 13 years and never heard the expression. So chances are people without our real estate knowledge haven't heard it here either.
Also, while you have some good photos, you could stand to add Pinterest friendly photos with words on them to make them great for sharing. Then add them to Pinterest after adding to your articles. I get 20-30% of my views on my accounts here from pinterest.
Lastly, comments don't always mean anything, and neither do ups and downs. Not all types of articles are the type that encourage Google viewers to comment. Most of the time here, many of the comments actually come from other HP users. Really HP users aren't your priority. You want google searchers or social media users reading your articles. So focus on google friendly keywords and social media friendly pics.
Followers CAN be a good thing, but realistically they are not important. One of my accounts has several hundred followers and yet only about 3% of them read my articles and only 2 share them on a regular basis. So again your focus should not be on hubbers, but instead on search engines and social media.
This is all my personal opinion based on 6 years of being here. Feel free to post in the forum for more feedback from other hubbers.
