What's your exception of "good" traffic on Hubpages? Daily, do you want 100, 200, 500?

I just read about a lady who hit the 1 million visitor mark. It took her 5 years to do it. That's 200,000 views per year, or 500 + views per day.
    Is that a reasonable goal?
Is that on the extreme high end?
Would you mind sharing your "best traffic day" ever.
Thanks ahead of time for any responses. Just wondering about the numbers for those active on Hubpages.
A serene photo for those that care to share!
    Cheers

Hi John. Thank you for the serene picture :-) and for the calculations. I would be thrilled with 100 views per day, but am sure I do not work as diligently or consistently as the mega hubbers who hit 1,000,000 views and above. I wonder how many of them there are in proportion to the overall hubber numbers, to get another perspective of their lofty efforts.

Kind of the reason for the question. A.J.
      Wonder the same thing!
Any mega hubbers want to share??
We'll see if we get any responses. A.J.
      Cheers

Hello John! This is an interesting question and I see easily curiosity and determining a goal is at task. Personally I began writing with a philosophy that if only one read my article I am successful. Then I began setting goals and became interested in the business aspect.

Anyway . . . About the time I stopped working my curiosity got the best of me. For work I did data mining and analysis/assessment. So, for a time killing project I surveyed all the Hubbers by score for quantity. (July-’15) Then I surveyed the Top 100 and the score of 85 / total 1,241 Hubbers using their Profile Page. I chose 85 because that was my score at the time.

Caution: Hubber Score and HubScore have nothing to do with views received. That is dependent on success with Google Searches and how well the Hub ranks at Google. There is strategy regard Google knowledge (SEO practices & etc.), writing skills, and how significant article material is relevant to reader demand. For instance today capitalizing on mobile viewing is a very key element. For the curious at the HP Learning center those elements are shared.

How I did this was going to the HP webpage for Best Hubbers and worked backwards to score zero. Can be seen at http://hubpages.com/authors/best/

Interesting information for you for score 85 . . . Remember it is a Bell Curve with scores across the whole. For instance score 100 is 52 Hubbers / 0.08% of all. Score 0 is 4 / 0.01%. The mid-point at that time was 78 with 4,375 / 7%. The curve was steeper from 100 → 78 and slower to 0.

    Total Hubbers at 85 – 1,241 of a total of 61,785 Hubbers
Average Years for all Hubbers – 2.5

    And . . .

Data by Hubview accolades (Remember these are averages)

View Accolade → Avg. Yrs → Qty. Hubbers → Mthly Avg. → Day Avg.

    < 1000 → 1.1 → 256 → ??? → ???
    1,000 → 2.0 → 344 → 42 → 1
    10,000 → 3.5 → 376 → 241 → 8
    100,000 → 4.8 → 137 → 1,751 → 58
    1,000,000 → 5.4 → 17 → 15,399 → 513
    10,000,000 = 0
No Data Available = 111 Hubbers (Hubber chose not to display accolades)

Remember of course success has its own rate with experience with writing and Google practices (SEO) for ranking and article maturation.

A clue regard million+ view Hubbers is I worked backward from score 100 to 90 looking at those.

    Total Hubbers – 1,952
    Million Views – 97 Hubbers
    10 Million Views – 8 Hubbers

Caution: Hubber score again is a clue, but not the rule. Skimming about one Hubber with a score of 61 had 1M views. Million views are scattered across Hubber Scores.

Today my daily goal is 10 . . . while learning the tricks of the trade.

      Hi Tim,
Wow, thanks for the in depth analysis. 97 hubbers with 1 million views. A select group, indeed. Just 4%. Interesting.
I can understand your goal of one person reading your article. 1 proves the concept is correct.
      Data mining - smart

Hello John. I hope it was helpful as a gauge. Key is the successful had quality articles, a niche, and used Google SEO practices or were plain lucky. For instance one 10M Hubber (AngelaRM) has only 9 Hubs while a 4 yr. Hubber. Go figure :-)

      Tim,
That's really amazing. What a choice for hubs. She must have insight on how to market those. Wonder why she stopped writing hubs?
      Goes to show, there's hope!
      Cheers,
      John

It really depends on the quantity and quality of the Hubs.

You might focus on views per month per Hub rather than one total. Someone can produce 1,000 Hubs and still not reach 1 million views, while others can hit that million mark with 50 Hubs.

If you can exceed an average of 1,000 views per month per Hub, you'll easily be on your way to a million views if you keep writing and keep learning how to generate traffic.

      Scott,
What's your personal expectations on Hubpages for views?
      50 per day?
      30 per day?
I'm thinking of deleting this because of the blatantly misspelled word "expectaion". Should I do that?
      Cheers

I'm averaging 2,000+ a day from 48 Hubs. I'm focused right now on improving my existing Hubs rather than writing new ones.

I wouldn't worry about the misspelling. We all do it now and then!

      Hi Scott,
Thanks for sharing that information, I greatly appreciate it.
Congrats on the number of views per day!  A launch pad for higher numbers, no doubt.
      Wish you much success.
      Cheers

Wow...let me tell you that I average like 5 views a day.  I have heard that in can take years to get a decent chunk of views. Most people say their older posts do better than their newest ones. What I have learned is not to expect much at first. If writing is your passion then stick to it. It'll be a long journey but well worth if if it is what you really want.
