   What is the point to asking a question, but not be willing to accept diversity of opinions?
   
   HubPages is the online community.  As any community, it is strong when it has diverse opinions and points of views.  We all have our core values and views that very fundamental to us, these values most of the times "non-negotiable" to us. 
   
   In the same time, many other members hold completely opposite views and opinions.  How do we prevent HubPages from becoming of echo chamber where opinion of questioner just reflected back to the author?
   
   Echo chamber is an empty room.  Room filled with people, life, and useful stuff doesn't have much echo in it.  Isn't free speech a freedom to be wrong?

   Well said, but perhaps "accept" isn't the best word. We need to be willing to listen to a diversity of opinions and give them consideration and fair space, and allow others to express themselves in a reasonable manner. Being able to do that in a mature manner should be something we all strive towards.

   Yes, the freedom to express your opinion even though I think it is wrong.
   I must respect your right to have a different opinion and to express it but I don't have to accept it, these rules should be known before we get into any community.

   Sometimes you see articles that ask a question, and instead of debating pros or cons, it is intended entirely to guide you to answer the question the way the author wants.
   In the same vein, some people post questions on Hubpages not in an effort to get feedback but to open conversations to try to convert people to various ideologies.

      Aren't we all always trying to promote our point of view?  I don't know peoples motives, but we need to listen to the other points.  I find though, that lots of people don't listen, they are looking for arguments against  lol
