I really should do more work on older things to improve them to my current standards and level of understanding insofar as what works best today, and not this day 4 years or whatnot ago. I'm nearly always most interested in writing the next one, and hoping it is as good as I think it is.
I don't do a lot of promotion, but I'll give you the thing I'm doing now which does get me a lot of views. Surely you are on Facebook? I will assume you do have a Facebook account,
Now, have you ever really thought about how VERY MANY Facebook groups there are? Dude, there are so many groups it would be nearly unimaginable for there to not be a hundred or more where you could share your articles, and they would be very relevant to the purpose of the group.
I haven't looked to see what you write about. I don't need to. Finding groups which are active and relevant to your writing isn't really even very time consuming. You just have to try several search terms in the Facebook search bar.
It doesn't matter a lick whether you know anyone in those groups or not. Just click that you want to join, they'll either let you in, or not. Once you are in a relevant group, Facebook itself will start suggesting other related groups for you to join. Join those groups too. So forth and so on.
Honest to God, there have been times when after I published a thing, I shared the link in SIXTY or more groups - all groups relevant to what I was writing about. That's really the time consuming thing. Putting a link with a few paragraphs of a header in lots and lots of groups.
Nobody considers me a spammer for doing these things. I don't do it very often, maybe once a month at most. And I only share links into groups about what the page is about. And sometimes I also share links in the comment threads where the link is relevant and won't be thought to be spammy.
