Hi !
Does anybody else has this message too? My account says: "HubPages Earnings Program Update: Ad Program earnings for October 4 are still pending. We will have the data updated shortly. Thanks for your patience!" Is something wrong with my account???? My earnings are almost 0 too...???
Please help with some info. Thanks.
jantamaya
Every single person in the program received that message...it is still there. Today is only the 7th.
Hi,
It looks that everybody does have it and in that case it's somewhat OK :-).
It isn't really "OK". The message states that 'We will have the data updated shortly." 3 days isn't 'shortly'. If they weren't going to fix it (and post the earnings for 10/5 and 10/6) after the weekend, why didn't they just say so. I wish they wouldn't just cut and paste the same announcement everytime there is a delay in updating the data.
Shortly is a relative term. Delays over weekends are hardly a new phenomenon. It always catches up.
Who knows...they could be evaluating whether they'll have enough money to pay everyone.
We are all doomed! Falling traffic. Hubpages not paying us. People scrapping our content.
Things aren't really that bad. my traffic is creeping up. Hubpages might pay us interest if it goes over a week!
I have seen this message numerous times, and it's not always over a weekend, either. It does catch up, but it is annoying. I don't understand the delay.
In the past, they gave us temporary numbers so we could get a ballpark figure, but the last time they did that, the actual numbers went down and people complained about that.
Some people said they would rather get the actual number only.
I would like to agree with all the previous comments. Do they have enough funds to pay us? This is annoying, frustrating, etc. What is Hubpages up to? Is there a hocus pocus going on? Next thing we know, this is already a scam!! Aren't you getting suspicious? What's their alibi?
This happens all the time. And reports don't relate all that much to payment. That will happen on the 28th of *next* month.
Frustration may be eased somewhat by an understanding of the reporting process. The HP Ads program uses advertising from numerous sources, always trying to find the best revenue for Hubbers and for HP. In order to report earnings to us, they have to receive reports from all of the outside advertisers. If those advertisers delay sending information to HP, then HP's final figures are delayed in being sent to us.
In addition to that, any decent sort of financial information in any business is subject to an auditing process, to be sure all the data was input and calculated correctly. The auditing of our earnings is often what takes place and may cause changes after the initial figures are reported to us.
If I understand correctly, when we receive no reports of our earnings (with a message like the current one), the hold-up is a result of the fact that HP has not received all the data from outside sources, and it is not caused by any delay in auditing. I won't say I'm 100% certain of this, but that has been my understanding and it has been supported by observations of my own account.
Exactly. Why do people keep getting their knickers in a twist? We still get paid on the same day each month.
A voice of reason amidst the hysteria! Thank you WryLilt
It is really weird. i don't really understand what they are calculating surely each day they know how many people are looking at our hubs? Maybe they are just picking numbers at random haha
The traffic data is not what was delayed, it was the earnings data--probably for the reasons others have already explained.
Here's the update:
HubPages Earnings Program Update: Ad Program earnings for October 4-7 are still pending. We will have the data updated shortly. Thanks for your patience!
My earning is updating now, but what does above update mean?
My earnings from the 4th had that message (pertaining only to that specific date), which message is now gone, and replaced with one regarding the 7th. I see it all the time, and I don't much pay attention anymore.
hello jantamaya,
My stats are going on a nosedive. Today, I only earned 3 cents, my total earnings at this time last month was triple of what I have in my earnings this month. Could have my stats been affected by the questions I posed with the regard to our delayed earnings? I hope Hubpages understands. Thank you HP!
Dear Wahmom, I think that you're allowed to ask as you wish, and the stats don't have anything to do with your questions. :-) However, I've earned in two weeks of last month almost four times as much as in two weeks of October. I think, Google's Panda was active again! Probably in the next time our earnings will come back.... The question is, what is next time? :-)
i was really going to ask about it. i thought it is bcoz i' m new on hp. thanks jantamaya for raising the question. but that message has disappeared now. i dnt knw what t indicates. also i haven't started earning..

Even though I tried to associate my Google adsense account with hubpages earnings program, the Ad program, eBay program and Amazon program are still inactive. However, my external affiliate settings are active. Why is it so?

Are you participating in the Hubpages earnings program?I'm skeptical about the Hubpages earnings program, but I see that some people are making a good earning off of hubpages. Is the primary earning from the hubpages earnings program? Tell me what you think I should know about this program.
