It seems that it is taking longer and longer for updated earnings for the month to show up.  This use to happen on week-ends, but now it seems to be a daily thing.

Linda, I just recently joined the earnings program, so I'm not well informed. When did the earnings usually show up before? Is it possible the Squidoo transfers are bogging the system down?

They would show up in the mornings. Sometimes, they would be updated before I would even get up and have computer turned on.  Nothing has happened today, yet!

I wouldn't worry about it. Usually things don't change much overnight, and the accounts WILL be updated. A matter of hours or days is no big deal. I do check my traffic and earnings on an almost daily basis to see if anything drastic has happened (which has at times!) and because I'm a bit obsessive. :-) But I don't stress if the earnings aren't updated. Normally, things aren't going to change that much, and what harm is it to wait a bit? None that I see. My advice is to just relax. There are many other things to worry about of more importance. Like writing great hubs!

Oh, I thought it was just me, whew!

Also, the hub I wrote last night was featured this morning, but with a hub score of 0, also it's not grouped with the other articles I grouped it with, nor is the "related hubs" section showing up. I wonder if these two things are related, I have never seen a hubscore lower than 65, so its a bit odd.

    4. LindaSmith1 profile image60
      LindaSmith1posted 10 years ago

Your groups is something you do.  Go to your account page, where you list of hubs are.  On the right of that hub, if it is featured, there will be a solid black circle with H in center.  If you see a wheel made with 2 arrows, then it is still pending in the QAP process.

If you look at your profile page, the numbers on the right or each hub, is not your hub score, it is the number of comments.

Your account page that shows a list of your hubs, the number on the left is the hub score.

Mine hasn't updated for today, either.  It's usually updated by 6, but has been updating later the last few days.

Linda, I know very well my comments column and my hub score column thank you, also I grouped it right when I published it, I am not that new.

Don't they show up every eight hours or so?

No goatfury.  Sometimes it is several days before they are updated.

It's very annoying.  I wrote to Hubpages but haven't heard a thing.  How can we know how we're doing if the earnings aren't  updated.

      1. LindaSmith1 profile image60
LindaSmith1posted 10 years agoin reply to this

Account page: Hub Pages earnings for the month: If they are the same as yesterday, they haven't updated.

Go to earnings and then earnings reports.
There are about 4 days with astericks which means those earnings are not definite yet.  At the top you see yesterday which could have 0 or pending then 7 days last month and then this month.

I don't see it as a big issue.   Anyone who is checking their traffic or earnings on a day to day basis is wasting their time, because you can't draw any conclusions based on what happens in a day.

If you make changes to a Hub, Google's reaction is not instant.

If you publish a new Hub, the initial traffic doesn't tell you anything about how it will do for the long haul

        ..and so on.

If you get into the habit of looking at traffic once a week or once a month, you'll stop wasting time, you'll get a clearer picture of trends, and the odd delay in updating won't bother you.

Good point, but I do like to check on my earnings every day. It's a little ego boast, sort of like getting tip for work well done.

It's also good to know immediately if you have experienced a dramatic change in traffic.  A week or a month later is no time to be finding that out.

It won't take that long. Usually earnings are posted the same day. When they are pending more than that, it's always resolved within a day or two.

See Paul Edmondson's post. There is a Google reporting "glitch/bug," which has been escalated. Paul said they are waiting and won't post anything until it's fixed. Considering how long it's taken, it's gotta be one hell of a bug.

WF When you click on report, or reply the post you are replying to repeats automatically.

      1. Writer Fox profile image37
Writer Foxposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Reporting doesn't repeat the post, but if you hit the 'reply' underneath a post then the entire spam post is repeated.

Instead of hitting that 'reply', if you want to respond, hit the "Post a Reply" black button at the bottom far right of the screen.  Because, if you don't do it that way, the spam has to be removed twice by the moderator.

Not only are our monthly earnings not updated, but this also affects any earnings from HP Amazon Program and Ebay.  Google Analytics is worthless for that.  Amazon Associates program reports are useless when we are with the HP program.

      The Examiner-1posted 10 years ago

The problem seems to be with Google, not HP. All we can do is complain to Google or go with the flow.

Edit: Just to add something - There was a statement the other day from Paul and here the link is below, it is a little past halfway down the page:

Has this happened before where days go by without accounting on the ad program?  I am new and if it has happened before how long until they usually resolve the issue?

Yes, it happens from time to time. It's usually not long. A few days at most. Usually not that long.
