A blog is using my hubpages name (Thelma Alberts On Hubpages) and I don´t know how to contact this rachael... as I have not found her email address. I want that my name will be deleted from her blog. Guys, I really need your help. Anybody from the staff as well. Please. Thank you.
You might be able to find an email address of the blog owner at whois over here http://www.whois.com/whois/
You could write to her. Sometimes it works. I've had people take down articles before just by emailing them.
If they are using your name, they are probably copying content. Maybe not yours, but they're doing some kind of scraping, maybe automated scraping and your user name was pulled up by their software. Might be a way to report them to Adsense (if they're using it) or their webhost (webhost info you can get from whois too).
The webhost for the site you're talking about is warpline (dot com). Their terms of service probably do not allow copied content or spam or whatever the site is doing. You can find the owner's email on Whois under their admin email.
Thank you very much NateB11 for your help. I´ll check this now.
Here's what their webhost says about copyright. They say they take it seriously and offer an email address for you to file a DMCA-- http://www.warpline.com/aup.html
Hi NateB11,
Thanks. I have sent an email to that site and if my name will not be remove, then I´ll file DMCA through the webhost. Good night.
Thelma, in most states it is illegal to use another person's name. Here is a link that may help you:
http://www.dmlp.org/legal-guide/using-n … ss-another
Thank you very much Phyllis. As a German citizen it is illegal to use other peoples name or photos from other people without permission. that´s the law her where I am. I´ll check your link.
Interesting question - I'm not sure you can stop the blog as, if you didn't register the blog prior, she's got it. There's nothing illegal, I don't think, with naming a blog anything you want. It's immoral but not illegal.
Maybe someone with legal expertise will chime in here.
I hope I can gottaloveit2. It´s not my blog but it´s my name. Thanks for your comment.
I would like to see an answer to this also. I know there are numerous hubbers that have this issue or a similar one. I've seen spam pages use one of my hub titles with my screen name lead to a page with nothing but garbage. It used to be my highest traffic hub. There's no way to contact them.
Me too rebekahELLE. I have already a good help from NateB11. I hope we will get another answers, too.
It could be their real name! I went to look for my brother years ago, and OMG the number of people with the same name was unbelievable.
It is my name she (her name is rachael ed....) is using as she is also copying and pasting my hubs contents and photos. There´s 1 photo of aliciac.hubpages.com also on that page. Thanks for your comment LindaSmith1.
I'm sure there are quite a few thelma alberts in the world. Even celebrities must show that they should have a monopoly on using their name for trademarked purposes. And that's only United States law. Anyone in China, Turkey, Russia, India, Pakistan, et. al. can do pretty much whatever they want. Remember the fake apple stores in China? I doubt if you could ever get exclusive rights to your name. I know there are a zillion people named stephen carr....
But, how man "Thelma Alberts on HubPages" are there? Thelma did say the blogger is using that ID.
I am the only one here in hubpages with this name Phyllis. Thanks for helping.
I know that stephenteacher as I have checked it well. It is my name she is using, no doubt as my hubs content as well as my photos are there. BTW, am I allowed to put the link of that page here who use my name? Thanks for your comment.
Do NOT put a link here - even if HP allows it it will only add juice to the blog.
If you wish to, put the link with an extra space in the dot com or something similar. Just so that readers can decipher it but it won't be seen by HP or Google as an actual link.
I found a site with your name as well, and it is not a blog. Sending email to you with URL.
Hi Linda, thanks. It is not the site you saw. That sounds worse than what I have discovered. Yikes! I have sent you an email.
Is this another one?

I have no idea wilderness as I have not seen that, yet. I have to check that out. Thank you.
The one i sent links to, is nuts and nothing but trash using phony links to take people there. Those 2 have been reported to Google and a feedback with the links explaining what happens when you click on tabs or links under both names site is using
Linda, thank you very much for your help and I hope Google will do something about it. I wonder if only my name is being used to those kinds of disgusting websites. Good night!
Thank you Guys for all your help. That woman who used my name has removed it only after I have filed the DMCA Complaint to the hosting site. I am glad for the success.
Btw, wilderness I have not seen that link you mentioned. Anyway, thanks to all of you. Have a great week!

I just found the HubPages Directory and naturally, looked for my name. It says that authors must have published hubs to be listed there but I can't find my name. How do we get added?
