    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub 11 Easy Ways to Make Extra Money on the Internet. What can I do to improve? Thanks!

I find this strange I keep getting little email notes from Hubpages about the quality of this hib, yet its got a score of 87, has maybe one or two links that aren't affiliate related and comprises 6300 original words of methods that I have used myself to make money online.

Anyway any ideas to see what they're talking about would sure be appreciated.

    Cheers!

You would need a hub of 700 or more words to make it more featured. You can drive traffic by it by sharing it via social networking or here. Or post the links to other sites. That's how I do it, esp. via Twitter, a few times a day. Add some Amazon or ebay products, some images that relate to the hub.

Thanks Kristen. This hub is actually 6500 words. I generally try to do at least 1200 words as I've felt Hubpages rewards those who put more quantity into them. I really went for it on this one as I've experienced everything I wrote about but got quite dealt to I feel. I've ended up with zero links and just one Amazon product (an E book) trying to pacify the support masters. But thanks for the tips - especially Twitter. I haven't used Twitter before for promotion.

        Cheers

You have quite a few grammatical errors and typos (for example, you have a typo in the heading of the very first text capsule). That could be part of the problem and certainly something you'll want to fix in any case.

Have you checked it for plagiarism? Check it, remove the plagiarized contents, if any, and resubmit it for publication. I am pretty sure that it will really get features.

Yeah thanks but absolutely no plagiarism. Written with my own experience over a few days.

I checked your hub and found no plagiarized contents. Only one thing that caused your hub unfeatured is the use of too many Amazon and Ebay affiliate links. Remove the links and resubmit it for publication.

Okay that's interesting. I'll have a look at that. Cheers.

When you get a hub that has a high score but it is unpublished or not featured, it generally is because it is deemed to be over-promotional.

Read the blog post about the new rules. It is really helpful and has examples about what is and what is not over-promotional:
    http://blog.hubpages.com/2015/01/07/an- … -capsules/

Basically, it means that all of your links and sales modules must be directly related to the content. The rule that you can't have more than 2 links to any one site also still applies.

You have quite a few unrelated links.

The hub could also do with a proper intro and more subheadings.

Hi,  It is a really good Hub, I had a quick scan but will come back and read it properly later.

I understand you have included the Amazon link to a Rolex as an example but it has nothing to do with making money online, therefore is unrelated, remove it.  (You might also be thinking you will get lucky and someone will buy one but people who can afford a Rolex aren't searching for 'how to make money online'!)

Yes, that's absolutely correct about the Rolex. I'll tone that down. My experience though with people linking from a hub to Amazon is that 90% of the time although they may go there through the link to a watch, as an example, they end up buying a pressure cooker. Cheers for the suggestion though.

Yeah they sure have pulled back. I've been going over this hub with support and I've had to remove every link - even though they were actually relevant and knock it back to one Amazon link. But thanks for your feedback. I appreciate that.

First of all, I really enjoyed this hub. You've presented good information and have valid examples to illustrate your points.  I'm going to explore some of your suggestions. Good job on that!

However, there are so many grammatical and spelling errors that take attention away from the useful content.  I'm quite new to HP and am still learning about the available tools but if you first do your work in Word, for example, you should run the writing through the spelling and grammar tools.  They won't catch everything but it's a good tool.  Proofreading is important.  One way to do that is print the document and go through it manually, backwards and forwards.  Perhaps have someone else read it, too.

I've got a lot of work to do on my own hubs (which were transferred from Squidoo) that it seems almost overwhelming but I recognize the importance of publishing the best possible work.

    Good luck!
