Why aren't my Amazon earnings showing?

   I have 20 clicks just yesterday from an article about Amazon Prime Day and have at least 3 confirmed sales from my ads from people who followed from facebook and it is showing as zero earnings and no longer pending for the day.
   
   Has anyone else had this issue?

      Your account gets 60% of the impressions and HubPages gets 40% of the impressions. It's possible that all three orders were placed during HubPages' impressions. That would explain why you don't see it on your account.

         I thought it was a 60/40 commission split on every single order through Amazon.  What you are saying is that out of 100 separate orders i will only get credit for 40 of them?  That doesn't sound right at all. Otherwise why would anyone use HP earnings for the bigger commission on referral sales when you can use Amazon's for a smaller one every single time.  It doesn't make sense.

            It's the impressions that get the 60/40 split, not the sales. You still get the bigger commission ( roughly 8%) 60% of the time.

               Oh i didn't even realize we got impressions on those,  i thought it was just 8% (ish) from all completed sales.

                  If the 3 items are under "Items Ordered", wait for 1 or 2 days for them to be shipped! You will get your earnings after that! Concerning the 60/40 split, I don't think any items ordered during the HP's 40% appear on the table.

                     So if if i sell 100 items (random number)  from my prime day article which is a sale that only lasts 2 days,  and its on HPs time,  i don't get anything for my work?

                        If there are 100 sales then there is a greater chance that 60% of them fall under your account. The problem you had today is that you only had 3 sales that your friends told you they made, so the odds of averaging out to the 60/40 split with only 3 sales isn't as high. With 100 sales, statistically you'll get your 60% of the sales. I can't make it any clearer than that.
                        
                        What Jan said is correct. If the sales happen during HubPages' 40% then they will not show up on your report.

   Thank you.  I understand i just don't get why they wouldn't just split each sale instead of just hiding 40% of them so i can't even see they happened.  Its just crazy.

      That's how the entire earnings program works, both the Ad Program and the Amazon Program.
      
      There's nothing crazy about it. The only way to do it as you want, they would be forced to use one global account and split the earnings 60/40. If they did that then everyone would lose the ability to have a choice.
      
      By separating the accounts, everyone can chose to use the HP earnings program or use their own AdSense or their own Amazon Affiliate account. Don't you think having a choice is better?
      
      Besides, there happens to be another reason for having individual accounts for HubPages and for Hubbers. Amazon has a rule that they don't pay for our own purchases. They require HubPages to assign individual accounts to each of us so Amazon can track who makes the purchases.

         What I'd like to know is this, can we buy from Amazon at all? I have bought a couple of things from them but NOT through any of my hubs. I just go to their site directly from the web. However, I find I have to use the same password.
         
         Am I doing something wrong?

            There's nothing wrong with buying directly from Amazon's site for your own personal purchases.

      It's not crazy.  It's the way most sites work - because Amazon and Adsense don't have any mechanism to split commissions.
      
      Therefore if you want to actually split commissions with someone, the only way is for ONE of you to take all the commissions, and then pay the other person their share.  HubPages (and other websites) don't want to do that, because it means they have to employ staff to process those payments, calculate the amount owing and pay Hubbers their share.   Writing sites don't make a huge profit so they need to minimise the amount of admin they do. 
      
      So, the only way to "share" is to have one person's affiliate code showing a percentage of the time, and the other person's code showing the rest of the time.  It does work out over the long term - and like I said, it's how revenue-sharing works on most sites.
      
      It's just bad luck that you had so many sales in a short time, which may mean you won't get the credit.
      
      Oh, and by the way, it's against Amazon's rules to encourage friends or family to buy through your ads. You can get banned for doing it.  So I'm going to assume  you didn't encourage them, and they just happened to feel like buying.

      Because Hubpages can control which code shows on their pages, they can't reach into earnings accounts and redistribute them--or at least doing so would be a logistical nightmare.
