When the share window pops up for Facebook, it only allows us to post to our Facebook personal profile. However, I typically post hub shares to my Facebook Page. This option is usually available on other sites, but not on HP. Thanks for listening!

Just copy and paste the URL of the HubPages page to your Facebook page as a link. This causes Facebook to generate a preview. Then you can add supplementary text, hashtags etc. as required. I think the same thing happens with Google+ when sharing to it from other sites. Posts end up on a personal page rather than a Google+ page.

Thanks, eugbug! That's what I end up doing either on Facebook or Hootsuite. It's just inconvenient. I often decide that it's just not worth my time to go into Facebook and share. So it reduces my sharing activity here on HP. Have a great weekend!

If you want traffic then you need to make the effort. If you think it's too much effort to go to Facebook to share manually to a Page I'm guessing that's probably not your goal.

Thanks for chiming in, makingamark! I just have to make a judgment call on how much time I want to spend on social networks. You and I both know that once you get logged into Facebook, you're likely to get stuck looking at your news feed and such. So any time I can avoid that temptation, I will.

Also, just to clarify, I share my own HP posts on multiple networks (Facebook page via Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest), as well as via email marketing. The hubs I'm talking about here are those of other hub writers. I'd love to support their work on my Facebook page, Twitter (which is no longer on the sharing panel either), and elsewhere. But if it causes more distraction and time for me to do so, I have to sometimes set priorities and do it some other time (if I remember). Again, thanks for weighing in!

If you're using automated systems to share on Facebook - just remember that Facebook can tell and downgrades the post. Facebook hates automated feeds.

I learned a long time ago that it always pays dividends to post manually to Facebook and to add in a line or two to introduce the post. Your post gets a much better profile in the feeds of followers as a result.

Hi Alphadogg16! Do try it out. I've been using Hootsuite since 2009 and it's been a great tool. Thanks for chiming in and have a great week!

I always copy and paste the link of the hub. It always worked better then clicking the share button off the hub. It also shows a preview of it all the time if you copy and paste it. Sometimes it doesn't work if you click the share button.. from my experience anyway.
