Please help! I don't know what to do I've been receiving comments from anonymous people who don't provide their URL. Thanks.
DJ, you now have at least two threads going on this same topic. Bad idea...
Should only
Post
As one thread,
Mate
It means you started two forum posts about the same thing and you had asked the question in the reply on another post, none of which were technically in the right place to begin with. If you need help with something or have a question - post the topic ONE time in the 'need help' section. You have to be patient, you'll get an answer eventually. Just don't keep starting the same topic over and over until someone replies.
Its just the aliens trying to communicate with you, they're harmless but if you let them in the house, you're not so bright
Ok... I'm sorry because I'm not really bright. I don't understand why this happens now.
Its because you have information they want
I don't know, perhaps they know of a secret only you possess, maybe they found a code with your name over the internet.
That is the same thing I've found out and I don't understand that's why I'm comfused
the aliens use encryption to enter your accounts, they extract your records, they could be transmitting all over the world to a terrorist camp in Afghanistan, you may be involved, connected in funding their terror, I would watch out, in fact, I am disassociating from you so that I am not infiltrated myself.
And this is the reason why I think of quitting here because of that...
I've deleted again and again some comments and they pop and again they're gone... and pop again... I guess these are really aliens and I want them out. Or I'd better get our of here. It happened the first time some weeks ago and I don't understand... anyway, thanks for your time.
what exactly do you mean by no URL? if it is a comment on a hub by someone you think is spam then delete it or deny it. The spam ones usually are pretty generic and the ones I get have nothing to do with the actual hub topic.
Most all anonymous comments are unapproved and marked as spam until you approve it.
What I can't understand is why in the last hour or so all my comments are coming up as unapproved again.....this is starting to irritate me!!!
some of mine do that too. They never even cycle through the moderation section
I do too... some of the comments are unapproved and they are there...
goldentoad--that pic is freaking me out. what happened to the shadowy guy?
I know I think I am gonna have bad dreams from it...traumatizing!!
clint is out for now, I'm going with fugly
aww... I liked clint. He was all mysterious and sexy. Ooops..did I say sexy?!? I meant uh...interesting.
I felt uncomfortable providing such a false image of myself, I thought out of respect to the truth I would present myself in this manner, if you saw me in real life, you would cross to the other side of the road, get far, far away. I have bad breath too.
oh I don't believe that at all. PS I too wanted to be respectful of true appearances which is why I chose my pic
Why don't you believe me!! Look at me and see how vulgar I am!
You have good representation on your avatar. I will agree with that.
I am sick of this...this is the second time its happened in the last few weeks
I receive a large number of anonymous comments that are posted straight to my hubs. Most of these comments are fine and I rarely have to delete these.
People who don't provide a URL may have found your hub through Google but not have a website of their own. If they write quality comments there is no reason to deny them.
So far I am concerned, I reply to those comments too provided they are not offensive. If they are then I delete them
they just coward who just hit and go,ignore and deny them if it need to do,but I wonder where they comment you while you have no hub at present?

Normally, I approve 99% of all comments left on my hubs. But twice today, and once yesterday, there were comments left, all by "anonymous," that I simply denied because they were just way out of line. Not demeaning, offensive, hateful, or anything like that...just WAY off topic.In...

I started getting a few spammy comments a few days ago. I posted a thread and someone suggested changing my comment settings to allowing only signed in users being allowed to comment and approval before they were published. So I changed my settings. Today the spam was even worse, took me a half...

It has become apparent through HP Facebook groups and connections that quite a few of us were unaware that there are comments going unseen in a spam folder. If you click on your comments tab where you approve comments, check the drop down menu that states "Unmoderated" etc. There will be a...

There is a new short comment on one of articles I have edited lately. The system has indicated that it is Spam.I wonder why and how can this be identified?I normally feel that it is right to acknowledge and respond to any comment. In this case I am at a loss as to whether I should.

I have been a part of Hubpages for a while now and try to comment on other peoples hubs when I read them. However for some reason although I am getting regular traffic (admittedly not high, but regular) I am not getting comments. What can I do to encourage people to leave a comment?
