I love this hub by cindyvine, because it contains rich and gritty details about what it's like to live in Africa: My Life Under an African Mountain
Her description of combing her hair while looking at her shadow because she didn't have a mirror is an example of some really great storytelling.
Self-Improvement Tips to Get Out of the Box by Dayzeebee
I love this hub because it gives you a different perspective on how to get out of the box and live life creatively and fully. Empowering, inspirational, enlightening, informative and life changing!

Ryan, thanks for this. I had a hard time choosing because there are so many wonderful hubbers with wonderful hubs. It was an agony!
I'm going to nominate a hub by CJStone called "We're Here Because We're Here." It's an incredibly moving story of Ivor Cole, who died in WW1, and was seemingly forgotten...

ripplemaker has been making ripples with her sincere and inspiring hubs. i think she deserves a slot. here's one hub that makes one pause and acknowledge the power we have to create a better world for all. http://hubpages.com/hub/Are-We-a-Lost-Generation . great move ryan. hats off!
K@ri showed that she is more than just a beautiful lady, a wonderful mother, and a caring nurse with her poetic tribute to her mother! http://hubpages.com/hub/Mother-Poem-Hap … s-Day--Mom
I don't know if you have any political hubs yet, but I really like this one from Pam:

Choosing just one is very hard!
Several of my favorite hubs and hubbers have already been represented, so here's one I don't think I have seen yet: Amanda Severn's Is the future plastic, cheap and shiny? Get fit for Purpose in the 21st Century
I want to suggest skydiver and the following Hub :
http://hubpages.com/hub/Top-10-Optical-Illusions because when one is writing, they need a break and change of scenery.
This hub is by Cindyvine who has captured the history and horror of Nanjing, China. The shame for the still unresolved issues relating to these attrocites falls not only on the invaders; but also the Western governments, for their apathy.

Thank you Ryan.
I like Connie Smith's hub for newbies. It is informative and funny at the same time. I think someone new to hubpages would enjoy it and learn how to set up a hub correctly.

http://hubpages.com/hub/English-topics- … d-students
I like this hub because it's very personal; I'm interested in foreign language learning and I like what she does.
Right listen up, I dont care who you are, or what hub you pick.
I cant be arsed with this any more, so the article has become '50 Great Hubs Chosen By 50 Great Hubbers'
I need another 7 or 8 people to choose.
Who will give it a go?
I love this one by Dolores Monet.

Christoph Reilly is a character, a wit and debauched ranconteur. I could pick several of his hubs for pure hilarity, but I'm going to nominate this one because it's not just funny, it's the kind of writing that fosters community (It's got almost 600 comments for Pete's sake).

Wow this forum really looks pretty cool, glad it was resurrected, keep this one going for a while there seems to be some amazing and entertaining writing to be discovered

Guys, guys, guys, this project was finished months ago
You can find them all displayed by searching '50 Great Hubs Chosen By 50 Great Hubbers', or something like that...
That's exactly why I suggested to the HP team to indicate WHEN a post originated below the forum topic/thread, where is says who started it. I can't tell you how many times I've checked out an interesting sounding thread only to realize that it was started several weeks or even months ago...if the started-on date had been on the listing page I wouldn't have wasted my time perusing it...just my thoughts...obviously the HP team ignored my suggestion!

Janderson just submitted some great suggestions on this thread:http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/126313#post2666393and I think this one deserves a suggestion post on its own. We're always being told to be discriminating with our Amazon capsules - less is more, they must be directly related, etc...

Is there a balance of Amazon products on a page that makes a hub overly promotional? Or is it dependent on the individual hub (over and beyond the 50 words per product)?

Awhile back we were advised to remove all ads except for two or HP would come by later and do it for us. I dutifully removed all of my "extras", but am now continually seeing articles, some of them fairly new, with many, many ads. When I place ads on my hubs, I am...

I've been here almost 3 yrs and would like an honest evaluation of some of my hubs. I'm concerned about my low hubscore. I continually study hubs at the learning center, participate in forums, comment on hubs, re-title and revise hubs, and have reached over 300,000 page views. I...

For some unspecified reason, HubPages has chosen not to feature what I believe to be one of the bestHubs I have written. After learning that HubPages was not going to feature it without editing, I added a poll to see if that would do the trick. No success. It really would be nice if the...

Can I just clarify how the Amazon flag works? When I use Amazon, I often use several capsules with only one product per capsule. I do that, because I want the product to align with the relevant text.I noticed the warning says something about calculating how many products COULD be displayed in...
