how to find out if a hub is being stolen?

   How on earth would anyone find out if ones hubs are being reused? For example Isabella found her hub copied and pasted on another site. Checking this out I saw quite a few on that chickies site that I've seen and had read on hubpages such as Jimmy's, rb101182's, VioletSun just to mention a few. There are so many sites out there, how can one have "constant vigilance"????
   This probably shows my ignorance but I  wan'na know. regards Zsuzsy

   Zsuzsy, it isn't easy.  You are asking a great question.  I'm not even sure of all of the ways you could find this info.  I think Isabella might have been checking to see where her hubs showed up in search results and came across the copied stuff.
   
   I guess, you can remain constantly vigilant by searching for topics you write about, seeing if anyone else has copied your work.
   
   I'm sure more advice will come from other hubbers, and I look forward to reading it.

   Pick a couple of unique looking phrases in your hubs, put quotes around them, and search for them in google.  For instance to see if your post was lifted, a search for this:
   
   "How on earth would anyone find out if ones hubs are being reused"
   
   would probably tell you.

   It's not too accurate either.. I have a php-nuke site, and I just can't use copyscape - every other php-nuke site is declared to be the exact copy of mine

      True, copyscape is pretty lame. It's easier to copy and paste a few sentences into Google.

   Edited to say that while that sucks, its not as upsetting as the one thats just been stolen, I am not surprised by theft, but the Englshmen list is very first person and very personal which makes it far more insulting to have stolen.

    Do you get something out of unnecessarily using the quote function? You really ARE related to him, arent you.
    
    Im not thankful - I couldnt care less about that site, and I only bothered to report it because the abuse button made it incredibly easy.
    
    In the grand scheme of things, that copied page isn't really that important.
