    If you're a hubber in the UK - How are you getting paid by Amazon.com?

    Amazon.com offer three payment options, direct debit to your bank account (only open to US citizens), gift certificates or cheque. I was wondering which payment options other UK Hubbers have chosen and why?

    At the moment I'm a bit reluctant to use Amazon capsules as I'm not sure whether I'd be able to cash in the cheques here in the UK or indeed be able to use the gift certificates unless I order from the US site. (I have started using more Ebay capsules instead as you get paid via the Hubpages ad programme to Paypal...)

    somehow, i got siged into amazon.com as a UK user rather than amazon.co.uk.. anyhow, its by cheque,or you can go for gifts.

    I get paid by cheque and it costs me a £10 flat fee to pay it into my current account. I'm with Santander but I think all the major banks accept foreign cheques for a fee.  The first foriegn cheque I paid in took about 4 weeks to clear - now they only take 5 or 6 days.

    Some UK hubbers increase the minimum payment threshold from $100 to a higher amount so that they aren't paying £10 to cash a $100 cheque.

    If you get gift certificates then you do have to spend them on amazon.com which is a real pain.

    I find amazon well worth it money wise so don't be put off by getting paid a cheque.

    I'm in Canada and I get gift certificate. I use it to buy ebooks because not everything can be shipped out of the US.  What I like about the gift certificate is the payout is $10.

    I am in the U.K. and if I ever reach payout (which for me is doubtful as I have not earned a thing in 12 months) I think that I would take gift vouchers. I'm not sure if it would be worth getting cheques sent as I've heard that when they are cashed there is a fee to pay on it. I know with google adsense cheques, the bank take a commission on cashing cheques, but I'm not sure if it is the same with amazon.

    Cheque... I think that is the only method which is applicable in the U.K unfortunately, so if this doesn't really suit you, maybe Amazon will add new methods in the near future... If not, I'd just accept it and enjoy the pay cheque you'll receive every month.
