Why does an amazon product link on one of my hubs not have my amazon associates ID in it?
I have an amazon associates account and insert amazon product links on my hubs via amazon capsules where all I do is enter the ASIN of those products. I noticed that in one of my hubs when I click on an amazon product my amazon associates ID is not in the URL but instead of that ID it just says the word hubpages. Does anyone know why this is happening? How can this be fixed? And does that mean that if anyone buys something from amazon via that link that it won't count toward my earnings?
Reload the page a few times and see if it changes.
With all Hubpages revenue (I think?), it alternates: 60% of the time, the links pay us, and 40% of the time they pay Hubpages. There's probably some little automated randomizer that rolls the dice and picks which affiliate ID to use each time someone views a page.
