Do you ever comment on a hub without reading it first?
And does anyone read this part of the questions? It seems that people only read the titles of this website then comment spam everyone else.
If people spam my pages with great hub or links to their own sites... I just delete them. If a comment seems a bit rushed or pointless I check them out. Chances are they just went on a comment spam session.
I'm not interested in fake thanks, comments or followers.
Fortunately that is a minority of people, in my experience. Mostly this stuff is genuine.
Haha, never. That is rather silly. It sounds like it would be the easiest way to get people to follow you. And of course you'd follow them. But, I'm a person of integrity. I like engaging people in discussions and I don't just pick random hubs. Even though I may use the hub hopping tool.
I think it is silly too. I'd rather people not say anything than say something that shows that they didn't even read my post.
Hub hopping tool? What is that.
hi bockshiner. I'm sorry. When you click on 'my account' its on the upper left (sort of). It sais 'help us out, hop some hubs'. I also agree. Not that I don't appreciate the votes, but really...or is it just me?
Yes, I use the hub-hopper now and then...and it's amazing how many titles don't even grab me enough to read the article, let alone leave an uninformed comment, which is what you'd be doing by commenting without reading. So, I just hit the "hop" butt
I do not comment on a hub or answer a question without first reading. There have been times though, when I have misread or misinterpreted a question. Sometimes it pays to re-read before making a comment that makes me look silly.
I never comment unless I have read the Hub. I will VERY occassionally read without commenting but not often. Usually just if I cannot find anything ggod to say about the story.
Yes, I read the bottom part of the question also. Sometimes there is information there which clarifies the question. My comments only have to do with the hub I am reading and are always different. I do not have a rote comment. They annoy me too.
People who do that are rude. I've had a few comments on my hubs that certainly indicate they did not read the article.
I don't do it to others..it just isn't right. As to the spammers...delete their comments..they aren't worth your time.
I always read hubs before I comment on them. Like a few others mentioned, it's silly and pointless to comment without reading. I don't read other hubs as much as I would like, but when I do I always read before I comment.
There shouldn't be much opportunity to comment spam, since Hubbers have the ability to approve or deny/delete comments and answers.
If someone makes a meaningless comment on my Hub like "great Hub", "good work" etc, I always delete it. Some Hubbers are anxious about doing that, because they think it's somehow impolite - but it's the only way to discourage the comment spammers.
no this is not possible.
First of all i read the article then comment it and also vote up and select the following, Use full, awesome, interested, funny, etc.
You can't comment on s article without read it, because f we not read it then we have no knowledge about the article.
So, first read the article and then comment it
No it seems daft to comment on something you haven't read, if it is one that takes a lot of reading I save them to go back to but let the hubber know as well.
Good question.
Like DzyMsLizzie I have tried hub hopping but not many of them catch my eye to want to read them and comment.

Do you follow hubbers without reading their writing first? If so how do you decide to follow them? On what criteria do you base their worthiness to be followed by you? There could be obvious answers but each individual can answer for themself.

Before following someone, at least you should read his/her hub or profile. I think, there are many reason rather than his or her beautiful face to follow him/her.

Do you think it is important to comment on a hub if you have read it?I've read that some hubber's read hubs but do not leave comments. On person said be assured I read your hubs even when I don't comment. I don't get it. I think it is courtesy to comment if you read someone's...

Do you make a comment on every Hub you vote "up" after reading?I always do make a comment, even a short one, and just wondered if a lot of people read and vote without comment. Do you ever read and not vote? I have done that occasionally.

Do you ever leave comments on hubs that you have not read in full?Once in a while I see comments on hubs that suggest that the writer did not take time or care to engage the writer by fully reading the hub before commenting. A lot of times a hub makes great reading but the sheer content of the hub...

A few weeks ago I commented on a hub but the hubber deleted all mine as well as others comments since they didn't agree with his views of the Bible. I found the hub on 3-16 and the hubber took one of my removed comments and is now using it as a quote without my permission within the hub.I want...
