I used to share my financial Hubs on the Yahoo Finance message boards, but the new CEO at Yahoo seems to have changed their policy, and they now rarely allow links in message board posts. Kind of a bummer, because posting Hubs on those message boards was a good way to target a specific audience, such as posting a link to my Hub about Apple Inc. on the AAPL Yahoo Finance message board. There was always a nice spike in views using that strategy.
I am interested in reading what others have to say...
Thanks Rock_nj, for your response. Here I want to wish you all the best for your financial hubs. I hope the answers here will be helpful to you too. Thanks again.
Thanks Diana Lee, for taking the time to answer and help.
If you write for Yahoo Contributor Network, you can link to related articles. They do prefer that you link to "reputable sites" blah blah...but you know, they don't have time to check out every single link, so I've managed to link to my own sites on there.
You can also try commenting on Yahoo News articles and leaving a link to a relevant hub. They won't allow an actual do-follow link, but you can just copy/paste the link and delete the http:// part.
If the comment is helpful and the hub title is right on topic, it should go through. You won't get any link juice to your hubs, but you can get some traffic and potential followers.
Out of curiosity, I browsed Yahoo's current articles and found a story that is related to an article on my blog. So I "linked" to it. I'll come back and comment later on and let you know if I get any hits to my site from it.
One single "link" isn't much, though, so I'm not expecting much.
Good luck with your own promotional efforts, ChitrangadaSharan. Aloha
Thanks chrisinhawaii, for an elaborate answer. I would follow as you have advised. Thank a lot again.
I suggest that you go into Yahoo, enter your screen (writer's name) name in quotes followed by "HubPages" also in quotes. You will see the your exposure via Yahoo right there on the screen. Yahoo also has a writer's site that you can investigate on their home page. ~WB

If anyone has written anything on Yahoo Contributor, I would recommend checking out the details. Since non of my articles are "paid to hire" After July 31st I will be able to bring them to Hubpages. Just thought i'd let anyone know who may have work there.

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...

Is there any value in linking to your own hubs within OTHER hubs and your profile page, in terms of search engine page ranking? Any advantage at all? I've seen a lot of people do this.If this is a silly question, please forgive me; I'm still relatively new here. Thanks.

Why do you think the hub with the highest score was scored higher than your others? Interested to know.

In checking to make sure that all my hubs are saved in the Wayback Machine of the Internet Archive, I found many that were saved, and some that surprisingly were not there. My hubs on these niche sites were saved in the Wayback Machine: soapboxie, letterpile, turbofuture. But my hubs on these sites...

I've seen some hubs with affiliate links on them... such as from Commission Junction. Is there a HubPages policy on using these types of links?
