This economy's got all sorts of people doing stupid things. I'm sorry to hear about your open card, but in this climate it's almost not surprising. Sad.

I'm sorry to hear that Crazd!  It is a shame when birthday and Christmas cards arrive opened.

    maybe it wasn't sealed? hmm

mail carriers encourage people to get their mail as soon as possible after mail is delivered and to never mail credit card payments from your mailbox.

Are you saying someone must have tampered with it AFTER your mailman delivered it to your box?  Because, otherwise, the postal service normally marks it or puts it in a sealed plastic bag indicating it was damaged by their machines, or opened when they got it.

Nothing would surprise me.  My mother had a good friend that had someone taking her outgoing mail out of her mailbox and altering the checks she had written for bills, etc. and cashing them.  LOL

No KCC someone tampered with it while it's traveling to our place

Then I think you should say something to the postman that delivered it that way.  I know this is a busy time for them.  I would contact your local branch and express your concerns.  What if everyone said nothing and it was actually the postman doing it?  Just a thought.  I'm not saying it was him/her.  But, we've always gotten a note or something if our mail looked torn or opened.

Yea I am actually thinking about doing that. I can find out through my land lord who drops off the mail and go from there

That is just effing annoying, I always tape down cards that I send, sometimes I send money, other times I don't, but I make it really hard for anyone to tamper with the money cards that I send as I tape around the full envelope.

Yea I think ppl need to do that or just send a check since that would be harder for the people to spend lol

If you felt sad for every evil act a person commits on another, you wouldn't be able to live with yourself and most likely would end killing yourself, because the pain would be too great.

Just a thought. Don't dwell too long on this. It will only eat at you later.

Best of luck. I'm outta here.
