Does anyone know if htere is a way to back up all my hubs in one go?
If, as I think might be the case, I quit hubpages because to be frank all that stuff when you go to create a new hub is hugely overwhelming - take my poem, for instance, just went to publish a poem - just a simple poem and all that guff sat there and so the poem never got published and probably never will - but getting back to what I was saying - how do I back up my hubs so I don't lose all my hard work when I, and if is a possibility - quit hubpages?
The only way to back them up is to copy them individually. That could be done as you delete each one. Sorry to see you go.
Not gone yet but fed up of all the guff when trying to be creative - every day another hub is 'unfeatured' and every day I tinker with it to try to get it 'featured' and then when I tried to publish a new poem I am faced with box after box of advice
Be creative on a word processor. Then when you are done, you can copy, paste, and all the nonsense. Being creative is much more rewarding. I have been reading your work and I really like it. I warn you though, I don't read poems.
You should always write your articles, poems whatever in a word processor first and save them to your machine. There is no function to mass save all your hubs. You'll need to go copy and paste them into documents and save them.
I did have them on my old computer - all saved in my documents and also my more recent ones are on a memory stick - my old computer died! Thanks for the info.
Write in Word (or other word processing program) first, then cut and paste into the text capsules. That way you have a permanent record on your computer.
I usually do but then improve it in situ thanks for the reply
Ah Leni!--the frustration behind your words is palpable! Could it be that you're just finally fed to the teeth with a site where sustained inaction and nit-picking make it abundantly clear that Hubpages doesn't really give a tinker's damn about poets and poetry. Three months ago I wrote a Hub called "Attention Poets--Demand Formatting Changes From Hubpages". If you're a poet and you haven't read it, please visit my page, read it, and if you agree with me, write a STRONG comment. As one final, probably futile, gesture, I'm going to "present" it to appropriate HP staff, and if I don't get a positive response--I'm leaving too.
On your specific question Leni--three people have given you the unfortunate truth--you have to copy post by post. Why not get lay in a few dozen beer, ask some friends to visit with their laptops, divide up your posts among the group, and go for it. Hmm--go for it BEFORE the beer. Good luck!
!
Great idea thanks trouble is all my buddies are busy doing similar things lol thanks for responding
It sounds to me like you are only overwhelmed by change or the idea of change. You don't need to use all the capsules presented to you. These are only suggestions to help you get the most out of your experience here at Hub Pages. You decide what to keep. Breaking up verses of poetry with pictures does make it look nice. I'm not sure what is happening to our poem hubs either. They are not doing as well as they use to. We'll just have to wait for a change to come back around dealing with poetry. I write poetry myself and use to post them here soon after I wrote them. I no longer do that. I'll save them for a better time or find another place to post them. Hang in there. This still is one of the best sites for writers both seasoned and beginners. Don't worry about if only certain ones are featured or not. Our only concern should be quality. The more we improve, the better we'll like what we are doing. I hope you stick around.
One way to save these is to send them to an email account in the form of an email. This gives you more than one place to keep them. I like to make hard copies as well. Print them or save them to a storage card so you can print them later.
Diana--you're an optimis!I What will make HP 'change' its uncaring attitude to poetry? All poets need is a BLANK PAGE on which they can layout words anyway they wish. And the words stay put, no matter what. In this high-tech age - HP can't do it?
Email sounds like another option as u say thanks
There's a browser extension for Mozilla Firefox called Scrapbook that you might want to check out. It's been a while since I used it, but from memory it saves everything with one click including images.

Maddie, I hope you are reading this, or whomever that can help.I have posted almost 150 Hubs...and if you are reading this, you know that takes time, energy, and effort. I had these hubs split among a few accounts. One day all my accounts were no longer posted, and I could not post...

I have had a few poems receive non-featured status. I've been able to revive them by adding a couple of text paragraphs to expound on the topic of the poem while maintaining the integrity of the poem. It lengthens the hub, extending its survival, and therefore, making it more searchable. I've also...

I was surprised when I heard from Scott Life that he had some hubs stolen and he did not think that Hubpages did enough to resolve this. This got me wondering if other people here had a similar problem. Thanks for any input for I would hater to find out about this the wrong way!

I recieved an email from a hubber who said she was 13 years old. It wasn't asking for help or anything...it was trying to make friends. I forwarded it to the Hub Team because I don't think 13-year-old girls should be writing to adults on the internet.has anyone else gotten anything like this and if...

I was wondering if anyone would consider taking the time to stroll through my hubs and read a few? I would love more feedback, and I think it would help me get to know other hubpage authors. Thanks!

I just found the HubPages Directory and naturally, looked for my name. It says that authors must have published hubs to be listed there but I can't find my name. How do we get added?
