Hello all! I have to say that I am LOVING Hubapages so far. I have not been here very long (a month or so) but everyone has been great so far.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to get more interaction from readers...mainly comments etc on my hubs?
Thank you!
Oregonwino
I would say, mingle with the community whenever you get a chance. Give your input on forums, get yourself noticed by others. I suggest you dive into many different aspects of HubPage's community and work on making sure you're giving your readers something they can use or find valueable.
Write about almost anything. I write about Life. The misconceptions people seem to be dismissing on a daily basis. I have a unique perspective, because the knowledge I have is extensive, but learning is my key to getting to people. I tap their instinct to learn and better than themselves, thru the proper way is inside oneself.
If you're not sure what I mean, feel free to visit any Hub, either from Lyricsingray, a.k.a. Kimberly, who is an excellent writer or myself(by clicking on my profile), and see what I am talking about.
Thank you for your time. I hoped I was of some help.
Just keep writing them, if your build it they will come and it takes time to build up a readership - it did for all of us, welcome
Thank you! That is good to hear. I thought I was having some decent traffic but I was getting almost no feedback on any of my hubs...but I am learning.
Best advice I can give you is focus on enjoying your writing and in a month start to focus on other things, but enjoy your writing for YOU right now.
Will do...the last couple of hubs I wrote about things that I was really interested in and they were way easier to write than the ones where I was writing what I THOUGHT others wanted....good advice!
Wow, thank you for the response as well. I am amazed with how open people are at Hubpages to helping each other out. I will be sure to take look at some of your hubs!
It's mainly other Hubbers who leave comments, so the best way to get them is to be active on the forums - because then other Hubbers will notice you.
I pretty much just found the Forums and didn't think I would get any answers, especially this fast...I am in serious danger of falling in love with Hubpages....who wants to be my first hub-crush..hehe
Another strategy for traffic is you could always pay people
Oh LOL< lyrics,
you just write whatever you feel comfortable with and then read other hubs too, you can join the forum too in a positive way
Welcome BTW!
True, True....I would rather be paid though....I would totally be a traffic-escort
I think the best way is to simply enjoy the experience, comment in the forums, subjects of interest and take the time to read other people's hubs. The idea of hubpages is that it is a community... we are the collective! hehehe
Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. LOL Shazwellyn.
Welcome Oregon Wino. The forums are a relatively new venture for me. But I think they can turn out to be just as addictive.
LOL.. same idea, different setting my fellow hubber... it is for mutal benefit ... We all have a unique tracker number that directs us to the collective - we abide by the same rules, we share individual unique thinking in hubs... we will overthrow Google and become MASTERS OF THE INTERNET TRAFFIC!! lol

I haven't written many hubs but my main concern is how do I get more followers?

I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...

I’ve been reading many questions on the forums about how to get more traffic to your hubs. I’m a great believer in testing something, analysing the results, refining and sharing, and I approached the subject of how to get hub views in a practical methodical way. I’ll share my techniques below and...

How important is it to have a comment section on your hubs, or How important is it to respond?I was going through some of the hubs that belong to some of the top paid hubbers ( info found on the success story page) and a lot of those people do not respond to comments. In fact, many of their...

Hi,I have been on Hubpages for ten years now and I thought I'd like to write about my experience, like I did five years ago (https://toughnickel.com/self-employment … ifferently). So much has changed in the past few years and I'd like to hear your thoughts about how this platform has evolved...
